Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but Damari Alston has been the most vocal player recruiter I can remember recently.
I hope he doesn't come across like some overzealous salesman to these dudes.

All accounts are that he’s a super popular recruit and a lot of guys know him. There’s plenty of dweebs online pestering these kids to go to their favorite school. I’m guessing they’re not too worried about their peers

Anytime I see Jonesy is the last reply in the thread I have recruiting anxiety thinking he is posting that Player X that we expected to commit has committed to Eastern Toledo State University.

Guessing y’all remember Shelton Felton? He’s the head coach at Valdosta now.
Sounds like KN & 247 caught up with him about 4* CB JaDarian Rhym. Anyway, long story short, he says Auburn has a great chance to flip Rhym. Sounds like Etheridge has done a great job in this recruitment

Looks like Auburn is evaluating Amipeleasi Fifita, an unranked JUCO DT. Absolute unit at 6’6, 330. Probably a backup option for now. No offer yet

First name probably depends on his family’s pronunciation but, to me, it looks like ah-mee-peh-leh-ah-see. His last name = fif-ee-ta

I wonder what his full name is... I have a weird like for names with lots of tradition/lineage to them. I like a lot nordic names for the same reason and I know Brazil does it too. I have no idea what your advantage is though..

More of the same. Says he’s 50/50. Visiting FSU this weekend and Auburn for the iron bowl.
He’s a public commitment for them so we’re not going to get many public comments about Auburn that sound like it’s a fine deal. He’s also not an early enrollee so I wouldn’t be surprised if he even drags this out to February

Some transfer/JUCO notes from 247
JUCO CB Marquis Gilbert, according to KN, appears to be trending toward AU. He said it’s a UT/AU battle. He’ll eventually OV there so that’s a hurdle we’ll have to clear.
Auburn also appears to be pursuing former Bama CB Marcus Banks. Originally a 4* in the 2018 class
LB Rodney Groce, a guy Auburn briefly looked at a few cycles ago, is in the transfer portal. He said Auburn is supposed to reach out to him soonish. Unknown what the interest there is

Saw where Riley Quick signed with Alabama for baseball.

Posted last week or whenever that we can close the door on Riley Quick. He signed with Bama baseball today
Solid chance he gets drafted high if reports about him hitting 93+ already his Junior season. Has a big frame. No clue about the rest of his repertoire but those are good starting points generally for prep pitchers
They stopped recruiting him sometime in July until he reached out to the staff. They invited him to some games but I’m not even sure he ever came. Seemed like a thing where they were just keeping the door open incase he changed his mind about baseball. Otherwise I haven’t really seen any of the sites even mention him in a few months

alpine has a huge boner for anyone slightly reminiscent of the Samoans he sees out in Utah
