Never know. We just made a ‘22 JUCO’s top 13 or whatever
Betting we find out he’ll OV for the Iron Bowl or something along those lines

Surely it's more than that, right? Maybe we lead for somebody?

We’ll find out tomorrow. This isn’t something I would have alerted this board to considering it’s probably just a favorable story on a 5* guy.
I just don’t think it’s a big deal. We’ll see

No block on that kick.

See I knew my friend BigBen would know. I literally couldn’t remember because I know it’s a yearly topic in football to keep kicking blocks in high school or not

Saw Bowen is announcing on CBSSports this week so my first thought would be something there but if KN knew some good news you would think he would keep it to himself so as not to spoil the kid's moment.

2023 S Jalil Hurley. Glowing interview, will be back for the IB and possibly Mississippi State.

This is kinda what I figured the news would be like
Some other tidbits:
4* OT Riley Quick didn’t make it down for the game. IMO, unless something dramatically changes, I think we can cross him off.
‘23 3* QB Christopher Vizzina was at the game and he said he was really impressed with the environment, the attention he’s receiving from the program, and Mike Bobo.
247 has him as the #21 QB. On3 has him as the #6 2023. I think he’s probably an upper half top 300 guy on most sites by next year this time.
Sneaky athletic kid. Runs the ball quite a lot but that’s probably a product of the competition he’s playing. Moves really well in the pocket and I think his footwork is great. At 6’3 or 6’4, 200+ as a junior he has ideal size. I think he’s a guy we’ll be pressing really hard for. 4* QB Dylan Lonergan is another guy to keep an eye on

I don't have access to the paysites, but has there been any talk of bringing in a transfer S? Puckett will be back, but outside of that there's a lot whole of inexperience.

What’s the word on Eric Reed? Wasn’t he a pretty high recruit?
Posted on 11/1/21 at 1:55 pm to bawbarn
I think he's been a CB this year, but I could be wrong. We have Tennison and Harvey, who could maybe play there next year, but they are inexperienced and while Puckett comes back, he hasn't been lighting it up either.. It would make sense to me to try to bring in a guy with more experience.

The Gilbert kid from Hutchinson CC(Kansas) visited over the weekend. He mentioned coaches wanting him at safety, so he was watching Smoke Monday closely.
He would have 3 years of eligibility left. I think he mentioned visiting FSU at some point.

Safety position next season:
JR Zion Puckett
JR Ladarius Tennison
SO Donovan Kaufman
rSO Eric Reed
rFR Cayden Bridges
tFR Ahmari Harvey
+ Tre Donaldson
+ Caleb Wooden
+ Juwon Gaston
Haven’t seen any transfer rumors but a top target is Marquis Gilbert, also a JUCO guy.
Reed might be working more at CB these days, as you mentioned and it’s possible that we never see Donaldson really on the field if he sticks at basketball. But that’s a crowded room

An Oregon WR (Anderson) commit flipped to Oklahoma today. I expect them to put the full press on Clemons now

Yeah I'm not really concerned with talent or depth, just experience. A JUCO guy accomplishes the same thing as a transfer in this situation though.

If we can snag Gilbert, and Gaston is coming along like we think he is, then I think I’m OK. But I’d bet that it a guy they like comes available they’ll pursue

Clemons tweets "the plot thickens."
This feels like it's going to be a tight one.

I think Auburn still has the edge but I’m definitely uncomfortable with this recruitment now. Oregon doesn’t get a lot of 4* guys in their back yard. Maybe 1-2 a cycle and they typically don’t miss.
That being said, Clemons could’ve committed there at any point and chose to pursue other options, even as Oregon was filling up at the position. The WR coaching change really didn’t help us with this one. Not because Corn was great or anything (I think the right move was made) but recruiting is so relationship heavy.
Anyway, we’ll see. We really need to lock up Antonio Williams. It’s bad news if we miss both

Speaking of transfers lol.. If we miss out on them we probably have to take one at WR (or a juco). I think we get at least 1 of them though.
