Auburn offered JUCO CB Keionte Scott. He’s picked up a ton of offers in the last month

I still like Auburn but the timeline makes me wonder now. I’ll try to see if the other sites have more info
KN doesn’t think it’s Auburn, primarily because of the timeline. He thinks Auburn is being patient at RB. Between the lines, it looks like if Judkins sticks with his 9/29 commitment plans that it won’t be Auburn
This is kinda weird to me. Maybe they’ve got a guy committed elsewhere that they believe is going to become available

Yeah I'm hoping Keith is wrong or that he pushes back that date then. The only other guys that have been brought up are guys you fall back on in case you miss out on a Judkins, not choose them over Judkins.
IMO we should be trying to wrap up as many positions as possible so that we can really focus on areas of need. Get Judkins and Alston and be done at RB.. use that extra time and attention on OL and WR.

Very true. I agree with jt33, I’d rather pick up Judkins this cycle and focus effort elsewhere. Need a top 10 kind of RB next cycle regardless
The other guy we could probably get to commit is Justin Williams, the WVU commit. He’s a borderline 4*, a few spots below Alston on the 247 composite for RBs I think. Incredible athlete, parents were Olympian’s, but I don’t like his running style as much.

With how poorly our receiving core played on Saturday, do we have a shot with any elite WR prospects?
When was the last time we got an elite WR?

Clemons and Williams are the 2. Clemons I think we still feel good about, but we are trailing Ole Miss for Williams.. I think its doable though. Thats why I want to be able to put more focus there.

Depends on your definition of elite. If you're talking about 5*s then it been quite some time. As for just highly ranked WRs then probably the 2016 class that had NCM, Kyle Davis, and Stove.
As for this year, Darrius Clemons is the one we are heavily favored for.

I’m also not sure we really know we’re behind on Antonio Williams. Sounds like his family isn’t pushing him to Ole Miss and KN said Auburn did a really good job of recruiting the family too. He’s OV’ing for the iron bowl and he’s not an EE so I don’t think he’s in any rush

David Johnson (Ole Miss insider) just put in a CB pick for Judkins to Ole Miss.
His 2022 accuracy is only 60.87% however, so who knows.

Judkins would be a perfect fit not only for the offense. A slasher type runner. We need one in the group.
Tank is just a special runner regardless of system.
Hunter is a very good back that has good vision, power, and speed.
We need a cutback/slasher type runner. Kerryon was born just a few years to early he would have been a great fit in this offense. However he did modify his running style to be more power that Gus wanted.
Ingram could be the slasher type but as I’ve been saying his body isn’t physically mature and not sure if he has the quicks/suddenness that would be a 1 or 2 back.

I think Ingram has a little of that style, but Judkins has what I call 'swivel hips' I like in a slasher type. I don't think Ingram is a 3 down back either.
I hope Judkins really likes our offense, ofc, he knows that he sees to very good RBs who will be here next year too in Tank and Jacquez.
And we don't seem to have a really good luck with Pike Road or Park Crossing players in Pike Road and Montgomery.

Any quotes from Clemons after this weekend?

I said before but I wouldn’t expect many weekly updates/reactions from individual recruits on games.
I haven’t seen anything. He’s essentially down to Oregon and Auburn at this point and I haven’t seen anything to lead me to believe it won’t be Auburn

4* OL Antavious Woody will be at the game on Saturday
More on Woody from 247. FSU’s mod thinks he’s less locked in than the other commits he has spoken to and it seems like their board thinks he’s gone. That mod said Woody visiting for a Auburn game would probably change things for him.

2022 4* OT Malik Agbo will OV Nov 13 for the MSU game. Agbo is a west coast kid from Washington. He is coming out East for school, no matter what, so distance isn’t an issue.
He’s had a long relationship with Harsin, Uscher, and Friend, spanning several years
