This is gonna sound crazy but Judkins doesn’t have the wiggle of Carnell or Kenny. But… minus the top end speed he reminds me a lot of how he “bends” around tacklers and gets his pad level squared quickly on inside and outside runs reminds be of Bubba Pettway. I’m talking pure running style. However will say when Bubba and Kerryon were in the backfield Pettway would hit the homerun a lot more then Kerryon would and more often. Kerryon just perfected the turning a 2 yard gain into 4 and a 6 yard gain into 10 things like that

Call me crazy but go watch some of Bubba’s runs at AU and watch Judkins highlights and tell me their running style isn’t almost exactly the same

That’s true But I wouldn’t mind that in this scenario either. That’s a position of need and it’s a very high 3* that is an obvious athlete

Has offers from Clemson, UGA, Michigan, USCw, PSU, and Oregon

Not sure we’ve had a back quite like Judkins. He is as multiple as it gets. Can catch out of the backfield, run between tackles, and block.

I talk a lot about good football players. Guys that just play the game well and he’s one of them. If he unlocks anything extra then he might be a game changing player. That’s why I think he’s a must-have. Doesn’t hurt that his newest teammate is 4* DL Khurtiss Perry

Also Jones is the state as loaded as 247 has them rated next year or is this just the typical rate the Alabama Georgia Louisiana kids first kind of deal

Do want. With Finkley of course. That duo at the same spot would be loaded. Finkley is a weird dude I think Colorado is his leader

You might need to reword that for me to understand you

Edit: I understand now. Personally, I think Alabama kids had an advantage because the state didn’t put a lot of restrictions on the football season last year. So the 2023 class was well scouted. We might see some of those guys slip as coverage in other states becomes more complete

Also, Alabama schools have invested heavily recently in high school football. There are 3x-4x as many well funded, well coached programs as there were a decade ago. I expect Alabama to be deeper in talent going forward than ever before

Thanks. Still seems like a high number of Top 100ish players. Either way it will work itself out.

KN seems to think Auburn might not be as high on 3* DT Maxie Baudoin IV as they were previously. He was supposed to be a summer commit. He only visited Auburn during the June window and now he’s not sure when he’ll make a decision but maybe during the fall.

Looks like we're moving on from Maxie Baudoin according to KN. He was supposed to commit during the summer but now its looking like it will be later this fall and and we've started recruiting other players harder.

I have no idea who the other DTs we're recruiting are though. There's been a name pop up here or there, but nothing ever sticks long. This and OL are going to be interesting to follow the rest of the year imo.

And speaking of OL.. We've been in touch with 3* USC commit Cason Henry.

Also keeping track of 3* RB Jordaan Bailey. He's a Pitt commit.

Edit- Jones beat me to part of it lol.

My guess is that a number of OL/DL will be flipped from other schools.

FSU is about to take 7 OL this class. Wouldn’t be surprised if the staff ramps up the recruitment on Sapp and Woody to see if one of them will flip.

based on his film, Judkins doesnt have the acceleration to be in the same ballpark as Caddy. Looks like a smaller Cam Artis Payne imo

eta: CAP is an NFL back so im not dogging this kid

I’d take another CAP. Crazy that this needs to be said considering CAP is 3rd all time (at Auburn) for rushing in a single season

It’s not a bad comp. Similar size assuming Judkins has room to add weight. Both catch out of the backfield. And Judkins’ vision is probably his best attribute, other than just being very multiple.

IKR. CAP was a dang good RB for Auburn. Just got overshadowed by Mason iirc

Growing confidence that 2022 LB Robert Woodyard is listening closely to Auburn. Currently committed to Alabama, and has been for over a year, but word on the street is that he has a lot of “Auburn” in his ear from Antonio Coleman (his HS DC), Lee Hunter (first cousin) and Roger McCreary (Mobile boy). I’m not saying he flips or anything, but Auburn has some kind of a chance here.

JLee is basically saying Tre Donaldson will commit to Auburn Thursday. “Should be a good day for Auburn.”

I mentioned Woodyard a page or two ago. Two visits this summer. There’s also a rumor that he’s going to be a dad soon, might want to be closer to home.

Tre Donaldson and Omari Kelly should both be committing Thursday
