I was a little skeptical of the Donaldson signing.. thought it might be a rare Miss from BP (think Turbo from a couple years ago) but I’ve loved what I’ve seen so far even if he falls out of the rotation for this year

Turbo couldn’t hold Tre’s jock strap

Donaldson is going to be a menace on defense for us

I’m a big fan of Donaldson. He’s a physical PG that gets rebounds and gets to the rim. I think he sets the tone of the offense really well. Need to see some more facilitating. Need to see him defend more (just need to see him more in general to know his play better, not a negative). I like his ball handling. Doesn’t seem turnover prone and hasn’t committed many fouls.

So far, so good.

I think we have 3 guys, all very unique from each other, in Tre, WG, and Chance that can run the 1 effectively. Zep played well off ball tonight and that was very encouraging to see.

Was encouraged by the clean game with so much play at the rim.. Seems like it was 5-6 minutes before any foul (by either team).

You can see the program becoming elite. They look bigger, faster and more talented each year! Bruce dialed in.

Man I thought Turbo was going to be a stud with BP when he committed. Then I think it was his sophomore year when he had to start at pg because we had players hurt and he couldn't dribble. We've come a long way

Am I the only one that thinks Cardwell is better than Broome?

Cardwell has been otherworldly efficient and productive in his limited minutes so far but I think he would be overexposed in a larger role. He’s perfect in his current capacity. Averaging an insane 12 blocks per hundred possessions and leading the nation with 28% block percentage. Next closest is 22%. His PER is a team leading 41.1

Not to get too far ahead but our 2023 class is currently Aden. I'm unaware of AU targeting any of the remaining uncommitted players. So if nobody leaves early, I'm looking at 4 additional slots to fill through the portal. This would match our 2021 class with Jabari being the only freshman and taking 4 transfers (Zep, Wendell, KD & Walker). It will be interesting to see who becomes available and who Bruce & Co. target.

I'm right there with you on needing 3 forwards and maybe one big from the portal.

With Wendell, Tre, KD and Aden as the guards, I'm thinking Chance might be utilized at the 3 some? I'm only seeing Chris Mo & Yohan as the other forwards. We should still have Broome & Cardwell at the 5.

Chance could definitely play some 3.. but I’m not 100% sure he will be here next year.

If Chance turns into a 1st round draft pick I don’t care about next year. I’d be A-OK with that
