Why do you think he could've developed his shot more in college than as a professional?
Lesser defenses. More chances to have cleaner looks. But for me personally selfish for the team I cheer for.

From BMatt him and another staffer attended practice today:
** First of all, Chance Westry was outstanding today. I mean really, really good. When they were working in half court, he made a great drive from the top of the key and finished at the rim to win one game, and was outstanding when they went full court, making 3's and handling the ball well. He got a good amount of time at the 1 and 2. Westry's defense stood out too. His length is very disruptive on the perimeter.

I’m starting to think Westry is gonna make an Okoro like leap up the rankings this season. I wouldn’t expect to see too many years of him at Auburn. This is great news.

Interesting note, my son was at Camp War Eagle this week and Bruce showed up to pump the students up in Jordan Hare. offered his email and committed to use any resources he had to help in any situation. Bruce is just so committed to Auburn, love the guy!

JD Davison had 28 pts, 10 ast, 5 reb, 3 stl, 1 blk this afternoon for the Celtics
It could work in our favor if he suddenly connects the dots and earns some meaningful minutes this season. Use it as negative recruiting against Oates, "Nate can't utilize or develop his talent. He tanked JD's draft stock, but look at how he's playing now that he's out of Tuscaloosa"

Another solid game from Jabari even shooting awful from the 3. He had 17 pts, 10 rbs, 2 assists, 1 block. He was 0-5 from 3 but 7-8 from 2 with a couple really nice drives

Yeah I mean Herb Jones had a nice career at Bama and all but his draft stock certainly was never helped there. Not sure they helped him enough on the offensive end and he’s blossomed their quickly in the league

Its funny to me bc the biggest knock on him by NBA fans has been that he still needs a good bit of development on his handles, which made it a point of discussion on r/NBA last night
Dirk made Top 75 with pretty much the exact same skillset...

In Summer league, JT Thor fricking went off last night. Something like 28 points on 9/14 shooting, rebounds, assists, steals, no TO's or fouls in a 3 point loss. Box score said he played 22 minutes.
Flipside, Sharife shite the bed again, terribly.
Jabari and Houston struggled, lost with poor stat lines.

I wouldn’t say Jabari struggled. 12 points, 12 rebounds, and played great defense all night.

Fair enough, but he did that on 4/15 shooting and 1/4 from behind the arc in 30 minutes. Rebounding was impressive. It's like he has shown everything that he can do, but he just hasn't put it all together in one package (a complete game) yet. I guess that is to be expected from an 18 year-old player adjusting to next-level competition and his experience in the Summer League is great for him, but then again, as the #3 draft pick, I had hoped he could have come in and kicked everyone's arse from day #1. My expectations were too high I guess. I just want to see him put all of those facets together into one, or two or more games, but from my understanding, the Summer League will finish up soon. I have no idea what to think about Sharife and his performance in Summer League games. I really can't find anything positive for him, and it sucks.
ETA Jared is playing well and putting up complete-game, solid stats. The Pelicans will tip off in about an hour, I think.

Jabari is 19.
He has talent.
Let’s give him time to acclimate to the highest level of competition.

Scoper, everyone, I hope this helps.
War Damn Lior
ETA I think Lior gives us quality play and minutes at the 2 off the bench this year, and couldn't happen to and for a better guy. JMO.
