I have no idea why Jared hasn’t landed at a backup PG in the league dude is a stud. Short for bigger point guard with him guarding but other ways to protect him for a few minutes each game.
Shariffe should have never left for the nba. Undersized and with limited athleticism. Great handles, moves, and ability to finish at the rim unless a true big is there were his strengths. He needed a minimum of 2 more years of college to develop his shot.
Still think Thor, Chuma, Jabari, and Oroko can all be 10+ year players

Very sad about what has become of Sharife. Not over for him, he’s still young, but he’s a mess right now. Hope he doesn’t end up looking back on the 10 game stretch at Auburn as the peak of his playing days

He probably could’ve learned a lot from Zep. But would we have brought Zep in if Sharife had stayed?

Idk, I can't remember wether we brought in Wendell or Zep first. But we still would've needed at least 1 other PG, and I only based saying Zep on the fact that I'd rather have Sharife and Zep than Sharife and Wendell
Gotta have at least 1 PG that can guard their man

Wow, Sharife is only like 20 years old. He didn't have a good game but he's not a bust. Smh

He’s not a bust yet but has a very very long way to go.

He never should have left. Not sure a second round pick can be a bust tho. Way more second round picks don’t make it than they do

He was the backup PG in NOLA to end last year. Jared’s issue will always be defense… offensively he can hang.
Cooper will get his shot… this would be his Jr year of college upcoming… which is when Jared took his big leap forward… don’t understand giving up on sharif while also thinking Jared can stick.

Shooting ability and Jared is much faster and athletic then Cooper

Sharife played well in the G league last year. A couple of bad summer league games isn't going to break his career.

No, but you'd expect him to be further along. This is better competition than G-League and he has been terrible in the first couple games. Worst player on the floor.

The announcers and JJ Redick were gushing over his ability to guard 1-5 too

I read where he scored all of those points on 0 dribbles. All came off catch and shoots and put backs. I watched his highlights, and sure enough
Its funny to me bc the biggest knock on him by NBA fans has been that he still needs a good bit of development on his handles, which made it a point of discussion on r/NBA last night

Why do you think he could've developed his shot more in college than as a professional?

Agreed. I never understand that logic. On the flip side, he might eventually regret leaving early because auburn could have been the best basketball years of his life in terms of memories & status

Yep don’t disagree there. You hear a lot of guys that look back in their college years as special to them.
