We were without Cardwell against them the first time too right?

Last night in OT we finished the game with CMo at the 5, Lior at the 4, Tre at the 3, KD at the 2, wen at the 1
I was seeing that line up in my sleep last night, I didn't sleep well either.

Jailyn will run some 5 and Traore will get minutes.
Yeah, it's going to be quite a challenge moving the pieces around to fill in without Dylan. I think Yohan get's in sparingly and Moore has to give you more minutes as well. We are going to need several guys to step up in minutes and out of position play Saturday. If foul troubles occur, I don't know what happens.
Traore's last logged minutes were against Mizz back on Feb 14th (5 min).

At that point you realized:
1. We have 12 players on scholarship (thanks NCAA)
2. 3 of those 12 don't see the floor (Stretch, Yohan & Chance)
3. 3 starters are out with 5 fouls
And that left you 6 scholarship players and a walk on in Berman. And only 1 of those in Moore can comfortably play the 4 and none at the 5. I'm still sick thinking about it.

Did Cardwell injury report come back? Didn’t look good

Thought I read that he sprained it pretty bad and likely not playing next game. That may have been early thoughts though

Bruce definitely said as much in his post game interview with Andy. Now that was right after the game so I don't know if anything additional has been released.

Just had lunch with a friend and a question came up talking about the cluster with Quinerly and Broome neither of us had an answer for..."what was the foul Broome committed?" I don't remember hearing what the call was. It looked as though Bruce and Johni found out at the very last moment of all the ref review time. Johni certainly looked in disbelief when the ref told him. I don't think he had any clue a foul was called on him.

That one call was a great summation of where officiating is in CBB. It's absolutely horrible.

But what was the call? The ref appeared to signal with hand motions that the ball was out of bounds on Johni due to Quinerly spiking it off of him with a follow up hand signal pointing to bama's end of the court to say it was their ball. I never saw a foul hand signal. Maybe I misread the ref's signals.

Basic contact foul. I would assume the ref thought the Bama player had possession and Broome reached in.

If that was the reason for the call, all hope for future games is lost.

We’ve been fricked since Bruce got here. Not sure if it’s his sideline demeanor or goes back to the old ncaa crap. Seems like when we get to conference play that questionable calls go 80% percent to the opposing teams favor.
This is not a complaint at all and I’m sure it helps our success playing emotional and being emotionally invested in almost every game for our players. But I do have a question why on the offensive end of the court does Bruce have to coach players where to be and where to go even with players that get 25-30 minutes a game? And no it’s not just this squad it’s all his teams. I understand the basic fundamentals to Bruce’s Flexcut offense is spacing but that can’t be taught properly in practice?

I think it’s just his personality. Got a HS coach that does that and screams the whole game, drives me in sane

Looks like our Thursday opponent in the SECT is likely to be one of Arky, MSU, or Florida.. regardless of whether we win or lose Saturday. We will almost certainly be the 7 seed because I expect Missouri to take care of Ole Miss at home and we can't catch Vandy due to h2h, and none of the 3 teams behind us can catch us due to h2h.
And if we win that one we get our 3rd crack at A&M for a chance at the semis.

I meant to respond to this and forgot but you are correct. That was the game Dylan didn't travel due to sickness and I believe turned out to be covid.
I went back and looked at the numbers for that one:
1. Broome played 32 min with 4 fouls
2. Jaylin played 32 min with 3 fouls
3. Wendell played 34 min with only 1 foul
4. Traore and Berman went 8 min each
5. Scoring was atrocious with Wendell & Jaylin going 3/20 combined in fg
6. Team went 3/27 in 3pt and shot 23.6% in fg overall
7. Turnovers weren't awful at 12 and rebounding overall wasn't terrible at 42 vs 47 (although the ORB were more lopsided)
I'm slightly encouraged that no one fouled out and hope they can repeat that part of the performance. You know TN will hit the paint early and often with Broome and see if they can get him in trouble.
