I know you're implying I'm being contradictory, but I was responding to different posts in different contexts. I think the last comment was about getting over our skis about also signing Phillips now that Broome committed.

Well look at that Randy. Steven Pearl doing work.

Steven, Ira, and Wes are all very good recruiters.

Boys, it’s still amazing to see Auburn do this kind of stuff in basketball. We take who we want and we win. What a time to be alive.

Bruce is an animal! Love it!

Geez.
Last night sounded so gloomy. Today we get Broome!
Wonder if NIL is involved somewhat?
Pearl going to give Steven big time credit as he builds on Stevens resume.
I’m still shocked but should have never waivered from the PEARL!

It really is something. Sustained success like this is really special. We haven’t had it in basketball or Football since Pat Dye in the 80s.

Phillips is taking a visit to Kansas State, so I guess he decided to take more visit(s) after all.

Looks like one of his AAU coaches works for K State now.
Surely he isn’t that stupid.

If one of his coaches are there now it could be anything from him being about to commit to them or just doing them a favor with the visit. Hopefully he sets a commitment date soon.

Can’t see him going to K-State. Auburn would be really hard to beat here.

Sounds like a courtesy visit.

All of this drama surrounding Phillips makes
You wonder how much money he walked away from when he left LSU, especially considering the fact that he previously committed to Wade.

Auburn to play in Israel this summer
quote:
The Tigers will get some additional rapport with one another overseas this summer.
Bruce Pearl is taking his team to Israel for a preseason foreign tour at the end of July, the program announced Monday afternoon. The NCAA allows an international trip every four years; Auburn last went to Italy in the summer of 2017.
“Every four years, you can take a foreign trip with your team,” Pearl said. “These foreign trips have been one of the greatest teaching moments I have been a part of in 40 years of coaching college basketball. Israel has not been your typical destination for college basketball teams. Yet, Israel, is one of the top 2-3 countries in the world in its quality of competition and support for professional basketball."

Pearl, an outspoken advocate in the Jewish community, is also excited for his team to experience the country's culture and religion.
“Aside from basketball, this is an educational experience for our players," Pearl said. "We are going to take them to where Jesus was born in Bethlehem and visit the City of David in Jerusalem. From a historical and religious standpoint, this is going to be one of the greatest trips in our student-athletes’ lives. I am grateful to Auburn for its continued support of our foreign trips over the years and helping with our ministry.”
Auburn will play three games in 10 days, starting July 31, set to face the Israeli U-20 National Team twice (Aug. 2 and 6) and the Israeli Senior National Team on Aug. 8.
Last season, Auburn won its third SEC championship since 2017, claiming the regular-season conference title outright with a 15-3 record in league play. The Tigers also had a 19-game winning streak and rose to No. 1 in the polls for the first time in program history. They earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament and lost to Miami in the Round of 32.
Pearl is looking to reload with a 2022 recruiting class that includes five-star big man Yohan Traore, four-star wing Chance Westry and three-star point guard Tre Donaldson, along with Morehead State transfer Johni Broome, one of the top big men on the transfer market.

Pretty strong stuff from Pearl. My sister and her husband live in a neighborhood in Opelika and the guy who provides cars to AU coaches lives there as well. Originally from Gadsden or Selma maybe? Anyway, Pearl came out and talked to them during their neighborhood wine mixer and lit the place up. He's the real McCoy and lives it and breathes it.

This will be a great experience for the players. Israel is a bucket list place for me.
Lior will play a lot to highlight him in hopes he can get picked up in the Israeli league and he probably will.
