Per a post a couple hours ago on AUC from someone who supposedly talks to Woodson's dad FSU ponied up more money & Woodson took it.
General thought from AU connecteds is Al Pogue, DB coach at WVU, is likely to get the 1st look. He's supposedly a good recruiter & knows the area very well since he was at AU & coached high school in Montgomery.

What's the impact this has with our current DB recruits?

I feel like we are done at DB. We have four and they’re all signed.

Josh Pate from Late Kick joined 247sports.
He will probably still do his podcasts, but it’s kinda hypocritical for him to join mainstream sports media when he championed alternative media.

What team is he covering?

He’s going to be a digital content creator or something. I’m guessing his topics will be broad, covering the whole landscape of football that 247 covers.

I dont think he was categorically against MSM, just that they've been making shite content so we've been forced to look elsewhere. If he wants to make his same quality content for a mainstream outlet, more power to him. Get paid, son.

I suspect hes a bammer btw.

He is based out of Columbus Georgia. Pate is a native of Harris County, Georgia. He graduated from Columbus State University with a degree in Communication.
Nothing about him or his show suggests he is a "bammer."

Supposedly, Pate was a user that did an “imagine” series of posts on BOL regarding the Cam Newton investigation. Here is one.

I spoke at length with the A.D at a major SEC school earlier today. I will not name the school or person, but I can tell you this.......it's coming this week for AU boys. I highly advise you to cease any doubting of what Helena has posted on here tonight, he is dead on the money. Reece has also been on this thing from the start as has Hub, and I can tell you that what they are saying echoes what I was told today. Hub wasn't necessarily wrong when he said Cam wouldn't start......because I'm told there was SERIOUS consideration given to sitting him for this game, the AU program is NOT united on this thing, not even close.
There have been shots taken by AU fans/boosters/players/coaches at major media outlets like ESPN recently because they appear to be placing so much focus on this story even though they "only have a few little quotes from anonymous MSU coaches". Trust me.....there's a reason they've been so confident and sure in the things they've said, and it's because they're sitting on a mountain of info that has gone unreported to this point. Soon AU people will know why ESPN and the NY Times have been so aggressive with this story.......there's a major difference in how much they report and how much they actually know. Lastly.....it's being accepted as a general fact amongst AU fans that this investigation is nearing it's conclusion in relation to them, when in reality it hasn't even gotten cranked up on Auburn yet.
The NCAA is investigating this thing in the chronological order with which the events took place. Ask yourself this......if the NCAA really "knew all these details way back in the summer", why is it they just interviewed Bill Bell this week and have only in the past couple of days scheduled an interview with Kenny Rogers? The NCAA is going to be methodical and meticulous throughout this process.....they are fully aware that the ruling they make on this case will set a major precedent one way or the other going forward as the landscape of college recruiting continues to change. They intend to send a message, and AU will be the example......playing Cam today just made things that much easier. This investigation hasn't shifted its focus towards AU yet, that will change very soon. I had only SUSPECTED this until today, now I am sure of it.

The last that KN has heard it’s a preferred walk on opportunity.
