I guess Dillingham’s Twitter is the one to watch now for impending recruiting news

This is a big get for us. Some of the best offers of any WR in the country

Yep looks like Dilly has taken on that role.

Huge pickup. Should boost our average player rating too.

Scouting report on Evans via 247 southeast scout John Garcia
quote:

J.J. is a guy if you look at the numbers he's literally one of the most productive receivers every in the State of Alabama. That alone is head turning, but when you watch him you get even more excited about what's to come. He's got a ton of upside and untapped potential that he really hasn't ventured towards yet. He still plays both sides of the ball and focuses on being a teammate as opposed to being a "me" guy, but he has a lot of "me" guy qualities. He's closer to 6-3 at this point. He's a legit route runner with good hands. He's just a natural football player that can do a lot of things. That type of production when we know his best football isn't even around the corner it gets really impressive. That's why he is, in my opinion, the premier wide receiver in the state in this cycle and it's a deep cycle at the position. It says a lot about him. John Garcia, Jr.

I’m guessing that’s J.J Evans? Would’ve been sick if Dilly chose that gif.

Reminds me of Eli Stove after the catch, but he damn sure knows how to run a route at such a young age. He sets up defensive backs well and his fluidity looks effortless.

4-star WR commits to Auburn (247)
quote:

On Saturday, 4-star receiver J.J. Evans of Montevallo (Ala.) said he could be close to giving Auburn his commitment.

He wasn't lying.

One day later, Evans has made a verbal to the Tigers -- and it's a big one. Evans, who is 6-feet-2, 185 pounds, is coming off a monster season in which he recorded more than 1,700 receiving yards.

"Man, as soon as I got there (Saturday for junior day), I felt at home," Evans told Auburn Undercover. "They treated me with so much love. I have a great relationship with all the coaches there."

Evans is the No. 16 recruit in the state of Alabama for the industry generated 247Sports Composite and we are told Auburn has him extremely high on its receiver board. Evans visited the Tigers on Saturday and Sunday. It was his second trip to Auburn.

He said Saturday the Tigers were recruiting him the hardest.

"It’s very big," Evans said. "It makes me feel like they want me very bad. I don’t want to be on a team that treats me one way the first time and the second time treat me different. This is my second time coming down here and they have treated me the same."

According to Evans, among Auburn coaches he is closest with receivers coach Kodi Burns and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Kenny Dillingham.

“With those guys, I can’t explain it -- they're just hyped all the time," Evans said. "They like to have fun.”

Evans is commitment No. 7 for the Tigers in the 2020 class. He is the second receiver on that list, joining top-100 recruit Kobe Hudson. Among Auburn commits, Evans has the third-highest rating.

Auburn moved up from No. 12 to No. 9 in the 247Sports recruiting team rankings with his commitment.

Sounds promising. Watch him end up with the Ryan Davis 8 foot route tree though.
Or the just go deep route tree.

4-star WR commits to Auburn (Rivals)
quote:

Montevallo four-star wide receiver JJ Evans said on Saturday that he could be on Auburn’s commitment list soon.

He wasn’t lying.

Evans, who is ranked the No. 7 overall recruit in Alabama, announced his commitment to the Tigers on Sunday.

“This was one of the hardest decisions I had to make in my life,” Evans wrote on Twitter. “But after a long recruitment process I would like to announce I will be committing to The University of Auburn.”

Evans announcement comes after a two-day trip to Auburn. He was one of several Class of 2020 recruits on campus this weekend.

“I love it here,” Evans said on Saturday. “I love coming down here. Every time I come down here, it’s the same thing. It never changes. They are recruiting me very hard and I like it. I love it.”

Evans chose Auburn over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and Texas A&M, among others.

Evans is Auburn’s seventh commitment in the 2020 class and second wide receiver, joining four-star Kobe Hudson.

4* OT Jalen Rivers and teammate 4* DE Chantez Williams will be on campus Saturday.

4* LB Jayion McCluster will visit this weekend aswell. Going to be hard to pry him away from FSU because they have a huge need there
