Arkansas grad transfer receiver La’Michael Pettway will visit March 18th for Auburn’s 1st day of spring practice. Have to think if everything goes well he will commit shortly afterwards.

Was this expected? Are we hearing a reason?
He had not been to Auburn in some time so not a complete shock but probably wouldn't call it expected
Apparently staff has been concerned per KN because haven't been able to get him back on campus. KN also said he's not a big talker so only found out after leaving FSU visit when a reporter asked if he considered himself still committed to AU & he said no
LSU is the team to watch right now. AU will continue to pursue

So it sounds like two top 4* OL targets in Mitchell Mayes and Bryn Tucker are about to commit to Clemson...

It really all depends on what kind of season we have.

Absolutely right... recruiting is the life blood of a program and we are not fulfilling our needs

It's a good thing NSD isn't next week then, huh?

Look at the bright side. At least Gus is striking out on OL early this year. So we have much longer to convince ourselves the backup plans are who we really want. Then we can miss on them too.

Have another 8-5 season and we will end up in the 15-25 ranking for recruiting next cycle

Just a reminder to the board that if you ignore Luke he goes away

Spring Practice related news and redundancies from tbe 247 team of Marcello, Marshall, Niebuhr, Caldwell, and Murphy:
-Shivers and Schwartz won’t participate during spring football practice as they continue to compete with the outdoor track team.
- The QBs might go live during the second scrimmage of the spring. Malzahn recalls how Nick Marshall separated himself from the pack when he went live.
-Rising sophomore Alec Jackson and his 6’5 297 pound frame is moving from DT to OT.
-Owen Pappoe is already making a good impression on the coaches and is up to 221 pounds from 210 last year.
-Marlon Davidson played at or above 280 last year and is now just below 270. Coaches hope that a quicker Davidson will help him finish at the QB more often.
-Luke Deal’s ACL recovery is going well. Was already off the crutches in January and should be near 100 percent by fall camp.
- Coach Garner has expressed to Coynis Miller’s high school coach that he is very proud of how much off the field prep Miller is doing now. If there were any questions about Miller, they were about his work ethic, not his talent.
-Bo Nix has impressed several teammates during workouts and with the high amount of time he’s putting into the QB film room. Have even said he has the “it” factor as a leader. The other three battling QBs are also putting in extra work as well. Cord Sandberg has been a “sweat the details” type QB since he arrived.
- Most coaches are out of town enjoying spring break. Gus is tbe one man hanging back in Auburn.
