Can confirm, there is ice all over the place. Went to Publix yesterday and hit about a 40ft patch of ice.

KN put up an insider with more notes on this weekend & more. Here's summary

- No OVs this weekend but more than just weather related. 4* OT Richard Gouraige wants to meet with JB Grimes before taking a visit. Next week Grimes & some other coaches will visit Gouraige. If visit goes well he will probably OV the last weekend. 4* WR JaMarr Chase had a death in the family so had to cancel. That left only 3* DB Joseph Foucha as the OV so coaches decided to push his visit back. He notes that Bama had no OVs last weekend as did UF so it's not unusual (LSU won't have any this weekend either). KN says you might see the coaches visit some guys that aren't on OVs this weekend

- As of now, no backup options have emerged yet on OL. Staff focused on Gouraige & Rice grad transfer Calvin Anderson

- Looking more likely that 3* CB Roger McCreary will land in the class. Staff love his "top end speed" & like him as a person. AU continues to go hard after some other big names like 5* CB Tyson Campbell. Still not sure if he will OV

- Kevin Steele & Travis Williams had an in home visit with 4* LB Quay Walker this past week. They felt it went well but it's hard to get a feel what Walker is thinking right now. There's some Tennessee buzz but some of that could be from recent visit. He plans to OV to BAMA this weekend, AU next weekend & UGA the last. KN says UGA having momentum & last visit could be a concern for other schools

- Three team battle for 3* TE Matt Alaimo between AU, A&M & UCLA. Alaimo would like to have a decision soon but AU hasn't yet decided if they will take a tight end. Alaimo will OV to A&M this weekend & possibly UCLA next weekend

It better be Gouraige that called it off and not our coaches. I see he’s at instead and getting CBs. If we lose him to OM I’m melting.

It sounds like it was. He wants to meet Grimes before taking a visit

We will see on OM. Their writers tend to be pretty reactionary. Seems like every time someone visits they CB them there. Recently they have done for it Harold Joiner & Kayode Oladele. Still think Clemson team to beat. Hopefully next week's visit goes well in home & we convince him to visit the last weekend

So apparently AU has offered 3* DL Malik Langham. He just got the mother of all Bama bumps in most recent ranking updates. Interesting we are sending out a DL offer this late. Right now he's considered a major Bama lean but KN says he grew up an AU fan

Curious to see if he visits at some point

Due to our OL & CB recruiting struggles wonder if Garner is gonna get his wish & be able to bring a 5th DL. Caleb Tannor & Caleb Johnson are both expected to visit

Edit: My point being that AU won't be able to get 2 of either like they would want so use one of those final 2 spots on best available which could be DL

True, but I know our coaches and every other expert think he's a lot better than anything else we have a shot at at a position of great need.

I read that on another board... it sums up recruiting pretty well.

We can all point to individual recruits who were either overrated or underrated.... but there’s no denying teams that rank consistently high in recruiting have the most success.
