I haven't been quick to jump on that bandwagon, but honestly I'm leaning that way right now. The line plays good at times, but when they play bad it's horrible. Those kind of extremes just aren't acceptable.
Meant to comment on Matt Hill earlier too. I'm not too worried about his hands. I saw him play a couple times this year and he's a playmaker, bit like slayton in that he might drop some here or there (I think he has more versatility though). I'm leaning towards just a bad day for him.

So apparently JJ Peterson has eliminated AU because and I quote "They are too deep at linebacker"
What a world we live in these days...

Kind of recruiting. JGT said in a random thread he could see Auburn telling Horton to look elsewhere and hiring Dell Mcgee and Shelton Felton.
Would definitely help boost recruiting.

from the sounds of it, it is very possible that Quay Walker ends up a 5* as well. Rivals had him on their 5 to watch for that, and 247 people have been saying that he's the best LB out there on either team.

OL is a concern. Our OL took a step back after the break and we’re losing a lot of experience there and not replacing it with the type of talent that makes up for subpar coaching.

So something interesting, we got a CB for Harold Joiner. He recently eliminated LSU because they stopped talking to him. Like literally stopped answering his calls & texts

Ya I am very concerned about this young talent we have brought in not being properly developed. I actually think an OL of Tega/Harrell/Brahms/Horton/Ashley (could replace Brahms with Kim) should be a good one but seeing us continue to struggle to pick up any sort of stunts and inability to consistently win at the point of attack against teams with talent on the DL is a concern.

Another RB for us to not use? Sounds like a plan
What 1 play will he be allowed to run?

He's go the wheel route written all over him

Gatewood to Schwartz has been a solid combination in team drills today.

FWIW QB play has not been great this week but apparently Gatewood has been the best of the bunch. Will post recap of yesterday but he made top 5 offensive performers. Taking 1st team reps on his team as well. Critique is tendency to stare down receivers but has been accurate today & might have the strongest arm of the group. Also impressed with athleticism

Good.
Barrett has the quick swing pass play down as his only play he gets to be used on. Need a good wheel route play.

Horton taking Memphis OC job & us bringing those 2 in is the ideal scenario
But if 2018 has taught me anything so far is that AU fans should expect the worst...

So Herb Hand will be promoted to OC and Hugh Nall brought in as a consultant?

Brahms is a guy I love at Center. He's apparently an incredibly smart dude. I think he can pick up the playbook and would be a great asset in the film room with Stidham in the offseason.

Staring at anything but The oncoming pass rush like we do now may be a plus..

KN says barring a huge surprise 4* WR Anthony Schwartz is expected to commit to AU Thursday during the Under Armor All American Game. Says credit Kodi Burns & Larry Porter for persistence in staying after Schwartz even when it looked like he would be a lock to UF. Will be a big boost to track team as well
FWIW Schwartz has gotten good reviews so far at practice. Nothing eye popping but has been consistent and impressed scouts with route running & hands. Him and Gatewood have worked well together too

Lots of updates incoming...
4-star WR Anthony Schwartz has already informed selected coaching staff of his commitment (SECCountry)

Ready to commit, top WR target has told selected staff
By the end of the week, Anthony Schwartz no longer will be one of the top uncommitted prospects. He’ll be a committed wide receiver to either Florida or Auburn.
Schwartz is set to make his college decision Thursday during the live broadcast at the Under Armour All-America Game. While Houston entered the picture on a track-only scholarship, the speedy 4-star wide receiver from Plantation, Fla., has decided he loves football too much — his “first love” as he calls it — to stick strictly to track for now.
So it’s Florida or Auburn. And whoever it is already knows.
“I told the school I’m going to be committing to. I told them. They were just excited and can’t wait for me to come on,” Scwhartz said in Orlando this week. “I feel like it was just the right time. I finally started rushing myself. I thought everything through. I felt like this was going to be the right time. I’m taking a big weight off my back. I’m going to be relieved, excited and ready for my next chapter.”
Florida led publicly for a long time, but it’s been Auburn who has gained the most traction lately.
He visited the Plains midseason for the Ole Miss game and returned for the Iron Bowl. All the while, Florida underwent a coaching change. Schwartz didn’t see as much connection with the new staff as he did the old one, which gave him some confidence regarding his decision to wait to commit. It made him feel like he made the right decision.
Auburn didn’t hesitate when the opportunity presented itself. And the Tigers’ commits did their part to make Schwartz feel welcomed at the out-of-state program.
“I have a good relationship with Shaun Shivers. We compete in track during the spring. I have a good relationship with Joey Gatewood and Matthew Hill,” Schwartz said. “They’re pretty on me [to commit]. When you going to commit? I just told them they have to wait and see.”
Schwartz’s first Auburn visit of the year came for the A-Day spring game.
That gave him an early taste of what to expect from the offense. It’s also when he started forming a tight relationship wide receivers coach Kodi Burns. Throughout the 2017 season, Schwartz noticed Auburn — a team he associated as run-only — starting to open things up more in the passing game with Jarrett Stidham.
As he watched Malik Willis and Joey Gatewood, Schwartz said he felt comfortable with what Auburn had built from a quarterback standpoint. When he decides toward the end of the week, those factors will give the Tigers a big boost.
“I saw them throwing the ball a lot more this year and then have an amazing season,” Schwartz said. “They said I’m the only receiver they’re getting at my position on the field. They want me because, the last time they were No. 1 in the nation, they had all fast receivers and were No. 1 in yards per catch with the No. 2 offense in SEC all-time.”
Even after he commits, Schwartz plans to take both officials to Auburn and Florida. With that said, Schwartz admitted it’s possible he only officially visits the school he commits to Thursday, if that’s what the coaching staff prefers.
