Mostly stories about Feelz,
OTL used to be a great piece of the ESPN puzzle. Key emphasis on "piece" and not entire puzzle. It was an awesome change of pace that worked surrounded by sports. They had some great segments such as the Pat Tillman special
ESPN clearly doesn't realize that OTL works as minor companion segment to the sports we watch. You can't make OTL type "feelz" stories the focus of your "sports" network

It used to be that OTL was the only show that caused me to change the channel from espn.

pretty much every show is OTL now

ESPN reminds me of MTV changing from music videos to whatever that shite is now.

When did you start watching OTL? Used to be a great 30min Sunday morning segment, then it went downhill fast in the mid to late 2000s when they made it a daily ritual

Nice comparison, although I would say that ESPN still has time to right the ship before it sinks whereas the MTV ship sunk years ago.

I've never been a regular watcher of it but when it came on at 2 I changed the channel.

In the early days, it was a once a month then once a week show and it worked. The stories were great/interesting and showed fans stories about the side of sports you don't see. It was a change of pace and with the full week (or month) they had time to find/develop great stories
Once they moved to a daily segment, it no longer is a change of pace and they are scraping the bottom of the barrell to find stories. We are desensitized to the stories and they just aren't as powerful anyways

Bolles is a Mormon from the West Coast, even went to HS in Utah. He was obviously going to go to Utah.

This is an excellent comparison. Its amazing how far downhill ESPN has fallen in the past 8 years or so. The past two or three have just been awful. I can pretty much watch anything on TV. I am very easy to entertain but I have just completely stopped watching ESPN in the past few years. Only games now for me.
Why is it that every single organization out there feel like they must get in on the dirt or controversy of things. They went from reporting the news to trying to be the news to now just making opinions about the news on touchy subjects.
Just be a sports channel and not MTV or ET. There is no telling how much money they have lost over the past few years. It is prime time now for another organization to come in and take that market.
If one of you will buy my tackle business, I will gather a few posters from here and take that shite

Nearly everybody that is somebody in UT is a Mormon.
Not a 100% truth, but it's up there.
(Edit: Especially around SLC)

University of Utah was started by Brigham Young, the guy who BYU is named after. They have quite a large LDS population there too

So what are we doing RB wise? I feel like we are slow playing the instate guys we probably would have a good chance at if we pushed. It would suck to lose Martin and Joiner out of state.

has anyone bothered to watch Tae Provens tapes? Seems like Horton absolutely loves him and some of the Auburn writers do too, but he's ranked pretty low.

People don't seem to love Joiner, but I def. want Martin.

Do we not want Joiner at all or just not totally sold at RB? Hard to imagine a guy 247 (who supposedly has the best rankings) has as a top 5 back couldn't get a shot at that position at Auburn.
