I think you are under hte impression that TPaw reads all those words and can give a summary. He just copy pastes that mess, doesn't actually read it

Nah I read all the articles, it's just easier to copy & paste than summarize. I summarize VIP stuff but I am not doing that for every free article

Does anybody? I barely even click on this thread anymore unless we get a commitment.

4* DE Brenton Cox just committed to Ohio State. Him and 4* WR Marquez Ezzard are supposedly a package deal. UGA struggling early in the 2018 class

I am going to keep doing what I have been doing. I always post the titles of the articles which gives you idea of what info is about. Very easy to decide whether you want to read it or not

KN put up a VIP article on 4* LB Channing Tindall yesterday. Apparently the Tigers have started recruiting him harder. Travis Williams visited yesterday and apparently he told Tindall this past Saturday he wants to talk to him every single day. When he last visited we were recruiting him both as LB and a Buck but now only LB. He wants to visit for Big Cat Weekend on June 3rd but not set in stone yet. He mentioned a top group of Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame & South Carolina. AU has some work to do to catch teams like UGA & SCAR because we just haven't been recruiting him that hard though Tindall did point out he likes fact Williams is from South Carolina and went to his high school.

My best guess is with Harris probably going to commit to Ohio State soon and Quay Walker to Bama (though Tindall might be above him on our board) we are turning heat up on Tindall who is probably #3 or #4 on board behind Harris & McClain. I would be happy with LB pair McClain and Tindall. Both are sub 215 lbs but are two of the fastest LBs in this class. Tindall put up a ridiculous SPARQ score at NIke regional in Atlanta and McClain apparently has been one of few LBs to consistently cover RBs in drills designed really to make RBs look good. We will see what happens

KN also had VIP article up on 2017 signee Noah Igbinoghene. Says he's one of the most athletic recruits of the 2017 class. He won state last year in both the long jump and triple jump and even won national champ in triple jump. Also his 100 meter time is sub 11 seconds. His HS coach Josh Floyd says Iggy can do a lot of different things and actually had more rushing yards than receiving last year because they used him at RB a bunch. Says he's young so doesn't think he has come close to his ceiling and compared him to 2017 Bama signee Henry Ruggs. Floyd also said he's really coachable and thinks main stuff needs to work on is just learning the finer details of WR. Says because he has done so many different things has never really spent a ton of time focusing on WR

I am pretty excited about this kid. I don't expect much from him this year and maybe not next but he's a guy I could see emerging in 2-3 years as a real threat

Yesterday AU offered 2019 WR Jeremiah Payton. 247 has him as the #24 player in the country early on in next year's class

Tigers offer son of NFL quarterback great (247)
quote:

Auburn has offered the son of former NFL Super Bowl-winning quarterback Brad Johnson.

Meet Max Johnson, a 2020 quarterback from Bogart (Ga.) Oconee County.

Brad Johnson played at Florida State and was a part-time starter in 1990-91 with the Seminoles. But he really made his mark in the NFL.

Johnson was a two-time Pro Bowl selection, passed for 29,054 yards and led the Tampa Bay Bucs to their only Super Bowl title during the 2002 season.

The younger Johnson, who is 6-feet-3.5, 191 pounds, already claimed offers from programs such as FSU, Georgia, LSU and Miami.

Brenton Cox commits .... to Ohio State (247)

Auburn was always a longshot for the 4-star ... Big blow to UGA, though.

I think everyone will continue to recruit him and hope for the best.

Auburn recruiting: Crystal Ball trends (247)
quote:

With six commitments, Auburn has approximately 15-16 spots left to fill in the 2018 class.

Who will the Tigers land?

That can't be predicted with 100 percent accuracy. For starters, National Signing Day is more than nine months away. Second, we are, after all, dealing with teenagers,
whose minds ofter change with the wind.

That said, generally speaking the 247Sports Crystal Ball seems to be a fairly good indicator of where a prospect will sign -- especially as you get closer to a recruit's decision date.

So, who is Auburn trending for in the Crystal Ball?

Here's a quick look at the players the Tigers hold the edge with at this time (or are tied for the Crystal Ball lead)....

5* WR Justyn Ross

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of confidence: Low

Breakdown: Alabama is in it. So, perhaps, is Clemson. It's an all-out battle for the state's No. 1 recruit.

AU - 75%, Bama - 12%, Clemson - 12%

FYI the percentages above are the CB numbers

4* CB Jalyn Armour-Davis

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of confidence: Low

Breakdown Two-team race between Auburn and FSU. Both programs like their chances. Armour-Davis seems like a good personality fit at Auburn. Does that give the Tigers an edge? Maybe -- but this is a toss-up at the moment.

AU - 100%

Good news is none of the FSU guys have put in a CB yet for the Noles

Breakdown: There is a lot to be determined in this recruitment, but McClain recently named Auburn his leader.

AU - 75%, Foggy - 25%

Surprised he isn't more confident in this one right now
