Lane Kiffin isn’t maturing... he’s just as childish today, if not more so than when he took the UT job.
Any P5 school hiring LK is asking for some shite... bc sooner or later, he’s gonna walk into some.

Tigerpaw I wish I was as confident as you are about Tutt. I think he will give us some good depth, but I don't see him getting on the field much. I've watched a lot of his teams games this year and he just doesn't stand out to me. He's clearly a good athlete, but I expect potential starters to stand out. I see him more like a Nick Ruffin type.
Also Lane Kiffin doesn't need to be anywhere near Auburn. He's about right where he should be to be a successful head coach. Jimbo would be a decent hire, but if Fla gets Chip Kelly that would make the Jimbo hire look bad in my opinion. I don't think Gus is going anywhere though and he definitely isn't leaving Auburn to coach at a place like Arkansas (exception being if we sucked this year)

Rumor Chip Lindsey could be involved in the South Alabama HC search. Keyword rumor

Not buying that one either. Horton has wanted a shot for a while right? I would believe he was leaving, but not Gus or Lindsey. At least not this year.

LSU SECCountry reporting Harold Joiner not going to take OV to LSU this weekend coming to Iron Bowl instead. Interesting...

KN says 3* DE Kayode Oladele plans to commit on Dec 12th his bday. He will be at Iron Bowl this weekend & come back soon for an official visit. KN says his CB pick is for AU

Joiner coming eh? Im telling you the consummate H-back.
And Oladele. Kid is a beast, if he had that passport issue figured out he would have gotten a lot more press this year. Fox may find himself sitting at the bus stop with Tank Jenkins.....

We just landed one of the top players in the 2020 class DE Andy Boykin
A high school sophomore committing, what could go wrong?

Good. Our punting has sucked the last several years. I can't remember the last good punter we have had.

Boykin's 247 profile
Unfortunately doesn't have any highlight tapes right now. Hopefully those come out here soon with high school football wrapping up

BREAKING: Auburn lands commitment from 2020 defensive lineman (SECCountry)
quote:
Auburn is getting started early on the 2020 class.
2020 defensive lineman Andy Boykin went public with a commitment he made a week and a half ago at the Georgia game. Boykin is one of the Troup Co. (Ga.) prospects who the Tigers are recruiting heavily in the Class of 2020. He chose Auburn with relative ease.
Boykin has attended all but the last home game against Louisiana-Monroe for Auburn.
“They show me love. I’m great with Coach (Rodney) Garner, Coach (Gus) Malzahn. It’s just a specific bond and a family down there,” he told SEC Country recently.
For the time being, Boykin is unranked as a strong-side defensive lineman in the 2020 class, but that’s likely to change. Multiple coaches at the high school and college level have told SEC Country that Boykin’s sophomore film jumps out. This is a big early pickup for the Tigers.
With the commitment, Boykin becomes the first pledge in Auburn’s 2020 recruiting class. Auburn joins Miami, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Louisville, Florida Atlantic and Tennessee as the only commitments with Class of 2020 commitments.

2020 DE commits to Auburn (247)
quote:
Andy Boykin of LaGrange (Ga.) Troup County, a promising 2020 defensive end, has committed to Auburn, he announced via Twitter on Tuesday morning.
According to our sources, Boykin gave a silent to Auburn following the Tigers' win over uneaten Georgia two weeks ago. At the time, he wasn't quite ready to go public.
He is Auburn's first 2020 pledge.
The 6-feet-3, 235-pound Boykin has attended multiple Auburn home games this season and has been considered a Tigers lean for awhile.
There were three predictions for Boykin in the 247Sports Crystal Ball, including two for Auburn. AuburnUndercover.com's Keith Niebuhr was the first to put in a prediction for the Tigers, doing so Nov. 11.
Auburn defensive line coach Rodney Garner is Boykin's area recruiter.
Troup County has multiple young players with Auburn offers, so landing Boykin is significant for that reason, too.

2020 DL commits to Auburn (Rivals)
quote:
It has been on his mind for months. Andy Boykin has thought about committing to Auburn on multiple occasions, but had held off — until November 21.
The 6-foot-4, 250 pound sophomore defensive lineman out of Lagrange (Ga.) Troup County held offers from schools like Georgia, Kentucky, Syracuse and Tennessee along with Auburn.
This came as no surprise.
"I have visited Auburn over 10 times and I love it over there," said Boykin. "It feels like a family there. I love the atmosphere, the coaches are great and it has been my top school for a while."
Boykin is Auburn's first commitment for the 2020 class.

Agreed. I wouldn't be shocked if this kid grew into a DT over the next 2 years. Already 6'3" 235 lbs as a sophomore in high school. Could end up 6'4" 280 lbs by senior year
Also hoping this helps us with King Mwikuta who plans on committing in December I believe. Battling Alabama right now & Tide are thought to be the leader

Why would Kelly affect the quality of the Jimbo hire?
