Not that I care at all, but how is DB ranked so low on 247 sports? Seems like every other site has him as a top national guy, but he is the 820th overall player, and 48th best RB according to 247. rivals on the other hand has him 71st overall/5th best RB. Just seems like really wide gap there.

Rivals now has Barrett as the #2 Athlete. Also didn't realize they had Tray Bishop listed as a 3*.

I agree, and I just typically go by the composite anyway, but typically all sites are relatively close - a 750 spot difference just seems weird

Not going to camps doesn't justify a 750 spot difference. That would make the business of recruiting even more laughable than it already is.

More likely is that they haven't gotten around to doing an in depth eval and played it conservatively.
Most kids go to camps for years and as a result the services "know" them and have info for evals. A guy like Barrett is one of thousands of highlight films from a guy they never have seen

I dont think it is unreasonable for a service to still be evaluating guys before SR season and with multiple rankings updates left

straw man argument. Nobody said still evaluating before or during the senior season is unreasonable. If they are still evaluating, then denote it as such. Not using some arbitrary number that is 750 spots different than the other sites.

What do you expect?... It's a totally flawed system to begin with. Who the hell actually knows where Bishop, or any other kid for that matter, fits nationally?

They are still evaluating everyone. You want them to denote it for every recruit? Don't be ridiculous

They do big ranking updates as a batch typically. If since their last update they like him better, they move him up.
They don't do real time updates, so not sure why you are all upset that they clearly just haven't gotten around to him pre last big update
