How does DC leaving affect 2017 recruiting? They say it takes years to build relationships with kids and DC was arguably our best recruiter. This sucks big time.

Shouldn't hurt this year because we just took 4 wrs. Likely would have only taken 1 or 2 this class. Will hurt down the road. CDC can pull any recruit he wants.

Problem is, he didn't just recruit receivers. I think I read where he was lead recruiter on some guys who play other positions.

He was our presence in Mobile, FL panhandle, and recruited in any other capacity. He wasn't just recruiting receivers

Correct. Primarily receivers but he had his hand in on Mobile and the FL panhandle. I think the kids from Atlanta liked him as well.
I think Kodi could be an ace recruiter if he is hired. I just think that is going to take some time to establish

When Kodi was a GA, people use to joke that Kodi tried to live and breath DCraig. I imagine their recruiting style and to an extent their outcomes will be similar
He won't have the recognition that DCraig did though when he walks in

I love Kodi, one of my favorite AU players ever but I don't think he has half the "swag" factor of DC. Seems like too nice a guy for that but maybe I'm wrong.

Can't really afford to live that "swag factor" lifestyle when you are a $20k/yr GA.
Kodi's #SwagAttack will be on fleek when he can look the point

He may not be DCraig level cool but he will ballpark it. He probalby will use his nice caring guy bit to make up for not being that level cool

Did Craig have the "wow" factor when he was an assistant at USA?... He gets picked up by Jimbo at fsu and turns into a great recruiter.
I think burns can have a similar career path... all young assistants are a gamble.

Craig had it as a player, it's not something I saw in Kodi. He was more a worker/grinder/effort guy.
It's not necessarily a bad thing I'm just saying I don't see the comparisons with Craig being appropriate.

When Kodi was GA, people would make jokes about them. It was like Kodi was the younger brother who followed him around and wanted to do everything like DCraig.
I'm not saying Kodi will be DCraig level Swagtastic, but he sure tried to emulate DCraig

Exactly somebody with the natural swag of Craig wouldn't need/try to do that.

If Ben Stiller could go full Simple Jack acting, Kodi Burns can convince 18 year olds of being #SwagTastic

I will be the anti-DC from here on out. He is dead to me.
I will now place full responsibility for Jabo's antics on him. Justified, or not.
Hell hath no fury, like a Tiger scorned.

He is dead to you because despite wanting to leave he still recruited his tail off and brought in a top WR class? Or is he dead to you because he wants to be a head coach and saw absolutely no upward mobility in the Auburn situation?
Are guys like TRob dead to you for choosing the path that has a more visible ending at being a head coach too?

But he did at LSU? I loved DC and every interaction I had with him has been pro-AU but he did not make that move for upward mobility.
