Will AU have the most players in school history to be drafted in the first round in 2016?
Up to this point, 2005 has been the best first round draft class based on total # of players who went.
Round 1
Pick #
2 Ronnie Brown
5 Cadillac Williams
9 Carlos Rogers
25 Jason Campbell
Round 7
Pick #
10 Jay Ratliff
Williams and Lawson will be first rounders. Are there three other players who are most likely first rounders if they go next year?

Auburn could have one of its strongest draft classes in decades next year. D'haquille Williams is already ranked by several NFL draft analysts including ESPN's Mel Kiper as the top wide receiver in the 2016 Draft.
Williams and defensive end Carl Lawson are both included in a couple of early first-round mock drafts including one by WalterFootball.com.
Williams is one of seven seniors that may project as draft picks including wide receiver Ricardo Louis, linebackers Kris Frost and Cassanova McKinzy, defensive lineman DaVonte Lambert and defensive backs Jonathan Jones and Joshua Holsey.
A number of Auburn underclassmen will be eligible to join Lawson in the draft including quarterback Jeremy Johnson, running back Jovon Robinson, offensive linemen Avery Young, Shon Coleman, Austin Golson and Alex Kozan, defensive tackle Montravius Adams, and safeties Tray Matthews and Rudy Ford.

Wow. It may be this year or bust for us if we really lose that many guys.......

They were amazing to watch. We always pump up the 2010 team of course but I didn't have the weekly confidence in that team as I did the 2004 team.

FWIW BMatt said yesterday AU is looking at potentially near double digit draft picks in 2016. Not sure if that's the most in AU history but if it happens ir projects AU in the top 3 for most players drafted.

If that is the case then 2016 might be a long year! I said it in another thread and someone said it above, this really is AU's year to win it all.

With good years and combine, Monty Adams, Jeremy Johnson, Trae Matthews
Guys who could be high mid round, Frost, Cass, Avery Young, Golson, Jonathan Jones, Rudy Ford, Davonte Lambert

The key will be keeping OL/DL. If we can return Golson, Kozan and Smith and find someone to be solid bookends at OT, we will be great in 2016.
DL will be a wildcard depending on how guys develop

Pretty presumptuous of you, especially with Lawson.

Assuming he doesn't have lingering medical issues, he probably could make 1st RD on athletic ability if he has an average year.
Robert Nkemdiche is supposedly a top 10 pick despite having an awful year last year

If Ricardo goes Lil Giants and puts glue on his hands, he could be drafted.
He should have played Safety for us
He should have played Safety for us

Ricardo is my break out player of the year on offense. He will be our deep threat like Coates was

He has worse hands than Sammie.
Sammie = brick hands with ADD
Ricardo = butterfingers

If we can return...Smith

A wildcard nobody is mentioning is Jovon. If he gets the #1 RB job & has the standard AU RB #1 year he could easily be 1 & done.

True but the positions I am least worried about early draftees is QB and RB.
