Wasn't that about S & PR Daniel Thomas? We are talking about Jordan Griffin.

The question asked to Keith was regarding J. Griffin and if our staff was pushing for him. Or if he was a fallback plan.

Keith gave a long winded answer that somehow ended up being about Daniel Thomas and Nigel Warrior.

The only thing I gathered from Keith's bizarre answer is we would take Nigel Warrior if he wanted in. The other 2 (Thomas and Griffin) Keith doesn't know.

FTR I just watched Derrick Browns senior highlights for the first time.

His tape is so ridiculous you almost want to discredit it. No one on the field wants any part of him.

No, that's not what I mean, but I'm moving on now.

Just trust me. I read every 1 of Keith's posts. He has said 2 times that Griffin was a back up to Jayvaughn.

Gary was never coming to Auburn. He could visit Mars this weekend and he'd still be headed to Michigan

Although it does suck that he's going to unofficial Bama

I think we had a shot when Muschamp was here but after he bolted and the way it happened with his mom seemed unlikely we could land him. I think no matter what though he was going to Michigan. His 2 best friends and former HS coach are all going to be there

Good.

I know he was never coming and Michigan is the destination but him meeting with Bama and visiting Clemson gives two schools I, and I think we all, fricking hate great pub.

Our DL class is about to be nasty so I'm not complaining too much. I'm from NY, I bitch.

Keith just switched his crystal ball to AU for Derrick Brown. He still feels DB can end up at any 1 of 4 schools but thinks AU is the team to beat right now.

So I guess our best chance is finishing with:

Nate Craig Myers
Jayvaughn Myers
Derrick Brown
EJ Price

I don't know if we get a surprise commit this year.

I don't know. I try to keep from melting myself because as others put out, no matter what I bitch about it has no bearing on what the team does nor the outcome. Plus I'm on deployment with a lot else to worry about.

Sports fans in New York have a great knowledge of the sports they follow and are critical until they are championship caliber. So I am the way I am but I recognize areas we are good. My biggest whiner complaints are wishing Gus would use his tight end a lot more in the passing game, and safety/LB recruiting, especially MLB who has to be the QB of the defense and take on 5|3 2|4 hole runningbacks hard like Fournette and Chubb. Last year we did a good job second half of the season getting our secondary and OLBs coached to hit outside runs at the LOS. At safety, I hope someday we find a 6'1-6'3 215-220 type who can ball hawk side to side in deep coverages and also come up fast, avoid a pulling guard or a stove pipe and slam a runningback off tackle.

After looking at Sammons and Daniel Thomas film, I'll take them both. Thomas shows a lot of upside, not 6'2 tall but rangy, came on his senior year with 7 interceptions, can high point the ball from a WR, hard worker with a good attitude and Trob and Clemson are both after him. I'm reversing course on Sammons. Has a frame to be filled but it's a good frame, possesses athletic and reaction ability, his feet need some work but has a good base and gets mean on the field. His DE experience and the first step/bend/hand technique he learned from that position will help him learn on the OL. He'll need a couple years but could be in the two deep as soon as 2017.
