Why doesn't Marshall just make it official and jump ship now (again)?

I'm about fed up with Marshall myself.

Another quote I liked was from some 2017 recruit:
quote:

“That should be a good move for the Tigers. Maybe some things can change now.”

Me too Landon, me too.

I'd love to see that post because a quick AU board search would suggest this is BS

ETA**: If you dig it up, I'll give you credit for a pretty ridiculous call but I refuse to believe anyone could reliably predict that

LOL even if you made that prediction it would be total bullshite to say that came from an insider back in August.

I don't know why you continue to try to be an insider when you clearly aren't.

Lance Thompson was Rashan Gary's primary recruiter. Not that we would have gotten him anyway.

He seems to like Steele.

Not that it would matter.

At least he remembered he has Jovon Robinson on the roster and gave him the ball in the red zone yesterday.

With J Dean counting in this class we have 6 spots left, maybe 7 if D Marshall goes elsewhere. Not sure if Character is thinking of flipping back to USCe. As usual for Auburn, a lot of things are going to happen in January after the dead period and our big visit weekend is 15 Jan. Who do we finish with?

I don't know if we're trending upwards with any, but amongst our top remaining targets, there seems to be a lot of talk about AU right now after the bowl game and Steele hire. We have the most commitments of any school in the Under Armour game, obviously a positive and room for influence on targets.

DT - Michigan is the clear leader here but for a school supposedly in third place after OM, Gary is talking about us a lot right now. Steele has to home run his in home with his mom to have a chance. D Brown was high on us a few weeks ago but hasn't been much out there after it was announced Rocker is staying at UGA. He's playing in the Army game next week so maybe we'll hear more there. M Carter will OV but seems we're a solid #3. Tyler Clark will also visit in Jan.

LB - we weren't in his announced top 5 a couple weeks ago but B Davis likes the Steele hire a lot and he's been to AU a lot. Most everyone still thinks he's a Bama stone cold lock. R Smith has us, Clemson, and LSU as his finalists and announces Saturday. With the Steele hire, it might make it us vs Clemson and his mom loves AU. Mbem-Bosse may come back into play and pursuit of Jaleel Laguins could be an option.

OL - Willie Allen is talking up AU this week and Davidson is in his ear. Said the spread offense is his kind of offense and likes the early playing time available at AU, still has visits left to take though. AU is still in Dickerson and EJ Price's ear but we don't lead for either.

WR - Many think we have a great shot at NCM. it came out recently that him and his half brother are not necessarily a package deal but no one is sure. As everyone knows his recruitment has been up and down all over the place, so January will likely be the same, but his visit the 15th and meeting with D Craig will be big. A Richards could be in play but not sure.

S/CB - No one really knows much here but Steele is likely to go after some bodies he was recruiting previously. S Smith is an EE and looks out of the question but I wouldn't be surprised if he went after T Mullen. We were going after highly ranked Texas safety Brandon Jones at one time and he flirted with AU. With Steele out at LSU many think he's Texas bound but Steele might go after him again. Nigel Warrior was also showing interest in AU a few weeks ago.

Signing day has the potential to be big if AU continues to trend up, and in home visits and OVs go very well. Could also be backup plan/surprise city if other schools keep up but we all know after Steele hires his crew he's going to be out in full force.

Isnt Daquan Newkirk at risk of not qualifying also?

My gut tells me that Character flips back. I also believe Stephen Davis Jr. goes there along with Carlito Gonzalez, the committed safety from the 2017 class. I've seen several pro USCe retweets from Davis Jr. and Gonzalez.
Count em up, 3 safeties that they could poach.

That's the latest news. I don't know how comfortable AU is that he'll qualify like they are with Coe and "plan in place" for him.

I know S Davis wasnt a Muschamp take here at AU because of supposedly being more of a finesse player and not an aggressive hard hitter but he may bend a little and take him just to get some solid athleticism in his first class at USCe. I don't know much about Gonzalez but even though we'll have Jamal Dean, if we don't take another safety this class, he might have a lot to think about.

Now could you post the list of 3 star JUCO DTs? Because we all know that is what we will end up with.

I'm actually busy putting together a short documentary called 'Breaking Sad' detailing an Auburn bagman's life, who goes by Tigerzberg, the secret year-round operations to landing high profile recruits for AU. It tells the story of his success while leading this double life but then illustrates his deterioration the last few years after not being successful to his standards at the CB and DT positions, a mystery he hasn't been able to solve.

I know it was rhetorical but, the only JUCO DTs I could find on our scouting list was

Alexis Johnson, Fort Scott CC (KS) 6-4 297. Rated 89 on 247.

and

Tyrell Chavis, Nassau CC (NY) 6-4 320. Rated 88 on 247

Let's see what happens. I'm remaining optimistic on D Brown and A Jackson was a great win.
