I agree personally but to run our O the way Gus wants & is comfortable with we need to go all in on dual QBs so there's little adjustment if injuries occur. I love Sean White to death as a QB but he simply aint a fit with what Gus wants to do. Hell we should have signed a dual QB in 2014 instead of him.

Disagree, but I know a lot of people agree with you.

Franklin looks like a guy who should go play for Rich Rodriguez. He'd be a stud there. He doesn't seem to have an elite arm and he probably doesn't have great decision making passing if he doesn't even start in JUCO

Doesn't have an elite arm?! Dude has a cannon!! And he has good mechanics because he played for Jimbo Fisher.

He didn't start because the other QB was already there and started last year

Respectfully asking what have you seen from the way Gus used Sean that make you think he's a good fit for Gus's read option system? Sean has great testicular fortitude ($1 to Mick Foley) & will do anything asked of him but he has no business running the read O at all.

As for the should have signed a dual QB comment in 2014, that is only a system fit statement. I don't believe in the read option system like Gus & many AU fans do. I think you can have an affewctive HUNH style w/out a read option system. Plus the QBs in that system get hurt too much for my taste because of the extra hits they take.

I did not know that. That makes me feel a little better about him. I really have no business in this discussion anyway. I was team Kodi over Todd. I didn't think we needed to recruit Cam because we already had Trotter. I was convinced Kiehl was the next coming of Cam and lastly I was team JJ over Nick from the beginning. The fact that I'm somewhat questionable of Franklin by itself pretty much assures that he will be the starter and lead us to the Ship.

I watched his JR/SR highlights and he had only 1 pass on there 45+ yards. ESPN recruiting also cited arm strength as an area needing improvement. Nothing would suggest he has a cannon

He moved to WR after 1 year and was an afterthought early as a QB if you read any FSU articles on QB situation

If he can't come in and beat a JUCO QB who started, what makes you think he can come in and beat a SEC QB who started and was solid?

Pointless to argue about. Nobody can be right about JF3 until he plays

Back to recruiting: anyone see that we pulled even for Ahmmon Richards?

Meh. The only thing that really matters fresh off a visit is if he had named us his leader.

Lots of guys say things they don't really mean to reporters right after a visit

He's not a super amazing athlete but he catches everything. He's caught like 130 passes this season.

Aaand lots of guys don't. I feel like there's some folks in here that are just in a petty arguing mood lately. Take that shite to the SECR

Judging from his juco highlights, he has plenty of arm strength. I saw a pretty effortless ball thrown from the 50 and hit his receiver in the hands in the back of the end zone.

I'm just saying things they say after a visit don't excite me.

I might have new Lanier syndrome...

We missed Emory Blake so much in 2013 and 2014. Underappreciated WR at AU

And Darvin Adams before him. Since the two of them, we haven't had anyone that's just *reliable* at WR. Plenty of more exciting guys, plenty of better big-play guys, but no one that you just knew was going to catch anything he saw.

Here's what I know.

Gus with a dual threat has won 2 conference titles a national title perfect season and came within :13 of another in 3 years. The offense was outstanding the third year as well.

Gus in three years w/o a dual threat the offense has been ok one year when the defenses hadn't caught up to the HUNH and an absolute abomination the other two years.

Those are facts.

Does a DT equal greatness? No

Does a pocket passer equal disaster? Probably not

But I've seen enough to know which one I easily prefer if Gus is going to be our coach.

Just by any chance were you one of the posters that frequently complained about Marshall not being able to complete a pass? From what I have seen, Franklin is worst and with less zip on the ball.
