I don't know that Barrett is "more talented"; he's a bit of a wild-card as he's been seen as an ATH previously before his offer list blew up. I'm not sure if he's had much if any camp exposure as a QB yet, so that will be the thing to look out for this spring/summer.
I still don't know why we didn't offer and push for Felipe Franks (LSU commit) harder. Don't forget that we are also still technically in it for Dwayne Haskins who has stated that he plans on visiting. While he's sending out a ton of pro-LSU vibes right now, I doubt both he and Franks sign with the same school regardless of that they're saying right now.

I'm talking about when watching their tapes, you can see a noticeable difference in zip between the two. I seriously don't think I have seen an arm in the '16 class that is purely as strong as Barrett's. His tape reminds me of Vick in HS.

Notes from AUC
-AU has an excellent shot at getting John Broussard
-Source close to JB says he's been recruiting other players to go to AU
-Jawon Pass seems very interested in AU & has expressed that to the sdtaff in talking to them since the Tuesday visit
AU could become a factor w/ Tennessee commit Austin Kendall & FSU commit Malik Henry
-AU working hard to get MH on campus soon and chances of getting him could go up if they do. Longshot now
-The working number for signees in this class is 21
-That was the number this time last year also but we ended up signing 27
-2017 DL Ryan Johnson, who AU offered this week, grew up an AU fan & has AU his early leader
-Next Saturday should be a big target visitor day (Has the feel of a pre Big Cat Weekend)

AU offered a super fast white boy from the 2017 class today. 4* OLB Nate McBride. He's 6'2 220. He ran a 10.58 100 meter & 21.3 200 meter this week at a track meet. In doing so he beat the #1 ATH in the 2016 class Bama commit Demetris Robertson at the meet. I don't know anything about track but those times sound fast, especially for a whitey. A source in his recruitment says Nate is open despite the early crystal balls to UGA.

Exactly why all the wailing by "grown men" over comments made in the UNC article was so funny!
If Pass is that petty, offering later will play out as a tactical move to see if we really want him, or not.

That is absolutely blazing for a HS kid. For a sophomore in high school that likely is top 5-10 in the country.

I remember watching video of quentin groves, king Dunlap, Brandon Jacobs. Watch jarrod Britt a couple times in person cause he was coming to auburn. This was the 2003 class I believe. Always bought the lindys and Athlon magazines too and read those.

3* DT David Marshall has AU #1 with bama close behind. Per AL
Wouldn't mind landing this kid at all. Looks really strong and has a nice jump of the ball. He can also move to be 6'4 250
