Auburn no longer recruiting Lyndell Wilson. Not a good fit on or off the field according to War Room.

we weren't getting him anyways. He has too many stars. Garner doesn't like stars.

Arms are too short and he has a muffin top. Won't look good in the Auburn uniform.

I wish we were in a position to turn him away, but we aren't.

Reality is stupid.

That's a bold statement by Rivals. If he's not a fit with our scheme that's one thing but to say he's not a fit off the field is taking an unnecessary shot at the kid IMO. Especially with no evidence to back it up.

I think Bryan may have taken some liberties saying that, that he shouldn't have. My guess is that Auburn doesn't like his pitches to Davidson to go to Bama and THAT is the "off field" issues. JMO.

Either way, no reason to keep recruiting him if he knows where he's going. Literally not worth wasting the time and resources. We should do the same with Ben Davis, IMO.

We never really had a shot with Wilson. Glad we are finally learning not to waste time with guys like him

Yep. I won't lose a wink of sleep if we end up with Threat, Tre Lamar and ElymBossea;ldkjf;alksjdfa;d

FWIW This was not the first time I have heard of off field issues with Lyondell. Someone who knows his recruitment well up close basically said the same to me months ago. Don't know if it's rue or not but just passing it along. Think what you will.

Also just because evidence was not posted does not mean BMatt does not have it. There are kids with off field issues every year whose derails aren't posted.

Is it how he interacted with our staff considering he is a Bama fan, or is it that he straight up is a risk for anyone?

Yup, big waste of time and resources better spent on players we actually have a chance at for both of those two.

We're no longer recruiting him because we have no chance. The "off-field concerns" is just bullshite to try and rationalize. Are Wilson's off-field issues really worse than Tray "Counterfeit Check Fraud" Matthews? Or Nick "Steal From Teammates" Marshall?

It's definitely bullshite. He should have left that shite out of his "war room". That kind of shite is the definition of "little bro syndrome"

Im thinking Gus should just turn crootin over to posters here -- no doubt we got it all figured out. Oh, wait, if we did, we would be paid 3-4 mil a year to coach college football -- and that would definitely put a dent in our credibility as sources of supreme knowledge.
Nothing worse than grown men running around screaming like a bunch of girls because a 18 yr old guy says we're not his fave!
Give me a break. It will all be okay. If you think the coaches care less than you, you are a wee bit delusional about the big picture.

hey we just offered a 0 star! 2 stars are too much for us these days. Hate to lose them to UAB.
