I really like Cowart's quotes.

Well since you're not going to post them LINK
quote:

(On him, Cece, and Holland) "We will all play at the same school because we know we can make an impact,"..."I don't think people understand, you can be a great player, but you can't make an impact by yourself. You have to have a team, some guys that will go with you to change the program around.

"It was great. We had fun, it felt like family. It was the first time I was able to go on a visit and just relax. I asked myself tough questions, but I felt at home. My mom liked it. Me, CeCe, Jeff, we all liked it."

"When they say family, you really can feel it. It's crazy," Cowart said. "At least I know if football didn't work, when in doubt, if something were to go wrong in life, if I was to go here I could always come home. They take care of their guys."

"My big thing is being able to start my major as soon as I get on campus. I feel strong about that," Cowart said. "Schools will tell you that you can't start your major until your sophomore or junior year and if I keep doing what I'm supposed to be doing on the field, I'll be gone to the NFL. I'm not going into the draft without my degree. I don't want to waste time. I had to make sure they had a three-year plan and they did. They care about what I have to say, that means a lot."

(On relationship with Boom) "It was great. we're real locked in. He made everything feel like home,"

You posted before they came out. I incorrectly thought your mindset would have been like mine in that get the info out to the readers before going back to do thread updates.

Ryan Davis via AUC LINK
quote:

“They’re very much in the picture,” Davis said. “They’re right up there. With this visit, they showed me a lot of stuff that I didn’t know about Auburn. I’ve seen nothing but opportunity to come here and play right away.”

“It was a great place. I love it here. The weather’s not cold like I really thought it was. It actually feels good out there. I could take the weather here. I loved every bit of it here. It’s a family here — somewhere I know I could be well-grounded."

(contenders) “Florida, Michigan and Auburn, pretty much — and also Alabama,”

will officially visit Alabama next weekend and “the week after that I’m probably going to Florida or Michigan or Oregon. Oregon has been coming after me also.”.

“They were telling me they’re coming into the spring with seven receivers,” Davis said. “I’ve got opportunity. I see a lot of opportunity coming out of this visit."

(On JJ) “All of us hung out together,” Davis said. “He was telling me he was a passer as a quarterback. He wants to sling it, and he wants to show everybody what he can do. He’s definitely looking forward to his season and feels like he needs weapons. He already has some and he just wants to add more."

“It went well,” Davis said. “I talked to all the coaches. First time in Alabama, so I was getting used to the atmosphere here and being with all the players, like Duke Williams, Tony Stevens, Marcus Davis — they were just showing me the ropes. The way they do things here and some of the Auburn traditions."

(On Coach Craig) “He always told me, ‘I’m going to be looking for you when you get older into high school,’ “ Davis said. “He’s just happy to possibly have the opportunity to coach me.”

(On his bro, former FSU WR Chris Davis) “He loves it here,” Ryan Davis said. “He hopes I make the right decision. He loves this place. From his perspective, he feels I could come here and play right away."

Terry Godwin via AUC LINK
quote:

(the visit) "It gave me some inside scoop on some things,"..."Ever since I was committed, it goes to show you how much they want me. The time I've spent here, they're telling me they really want me. It's been great. They are telling me different ways they are going to get me the ball."

"Everybody has a shot," he said. "Auburn has a shot because it's a special place down here and you come here and it feels like family, that's what you look for."

(On meeting Sunny Golloway) "It was great, I hope to play both sports," Godwin said. "He said it can work out."

(On his pops) "The past week, we found out he had colon cancer. He had surgery, but he's back at home and doing fine."

Cece via AUC LINK
quote:

“I was just happy to get up and see the place,” Jefferson said. “The coaches told me I would be blown away and they didn’t lie. Everything they said was as advertised. I just had a great time.”

“It was a big weekend, and overall I just had a great time,”

(On Boom being at AU now) “It’s a business man,” Jefferson said. “It wasn’t weird at all. Same faces, different places. I’ve known coach Will for the past four years. Him and (Travaris Robinson) recruited me hard. And Coach (Lance) Thompson. It was really hard to see Coach Thompson here, though. You know, Alabama-Auburn. I was like, ‘What the heck is he doing here?’ But you know, they’re great guys and I had a great time."

(On the comfort level of the AU staff) “That’s big man, that’s huge,” Jefferson said. “You want to go somewhere where you know. There’s knowns and there’s unknowns. I have a lot of knowns here. I feel comfortable with these guys. I know how they’re going to use me in the defense. I know what they’re about. My dad and all them have a good relationship. My mom. My parents. It’s four hours away from where I live. It’s not too far away. But it’s far away enough for me to grow up. It’s a great place and I definitely wouldn’t mind coming here.”

(On Byron's comment about he, Cece, and Holland signing with the same school) “Signing day is nearing so if he wanted to do that I’ll have to get with him and touch base,” Jefferson said. "But that’s all I’m going to say about that.”...“He’s a great player, and you know, in order to change a program you can’t do it by yourself. You have to have great players follow you, so I wouldn’t mind doing that at all. If Jeff wants to come, Jeff’s a great player, too. The more the merrier. I wouldn’t mind. I wouldn’t mind at all.”

“I’m trying to go back to Ole Miss unofficially this weekend,” Jefferson said. “And my last official to LSU on the 30th and 31st..

(On going to Florida again) "Yeah, of course,” Jefferson said. “I live 30 minutes away from the university. I can go there any day of the week.”

(what stands out most about AU)“The coaching staff,” Jefferson said. “Like I said, I got that family feel with them. They’ve been recruiting me hard the past four years. And I know what I’m getting if I come here. That’s mainly what sticks out. I know I’m going to be taken care of. Surrounded by good players. It’s a good town. It’s country like my hometown so it’s great.”

(On his dad and God-mom) “They had a great time,” Jefferson said. “They were on ESPN, so my dad was enjoying that. She was enjoying that. Everybody back home was texting them, ‘Oh my God, I just saw you on ESPN.’ That was awesome for them. I’m glad they got to experience that. I had a great time. They had a great time. It was just a great visit.

AU may not sign all of these five stars but reading comments from Cowart and Jefferson I feel good about AU's chances. The Tigers are definitely in the hunt, not out. Hard to ask for more than that unless a player is ready to make a public commitment.

Jordan Colbert via AUC LINK
quote:

"Some future Auburn players down here, some five-stars like Byron Cowart, CeCe Jefferson, got a chance to talk to Jeffery Holland a lot. Ryan Davis, I talked to him, too,"..."We have a good chance with three of them. I can't tell too much about Ryan, but when I talked to Byron, he told me when he comes, he's bringing two others with him. Once we get these three guys, we're going to be sitting pretty good."

"It's not me getting in their head -- when I try to talk to these guys, I just stay cool and calm, just a little conversation and learn more about what they do on the football field," said Colbert. "When they get here, I'm going to be around them not only on the football field, but at the dorms. We weren't just straight talking football."

(On adding Byron, Cece, and Holland to the D) "There's no doubt it's changing," he said. "We're already known for offense, and when we get these big guys on defense, it's going to be over with. We have some motors on the defensive line, but if we get those two defensive linemen in the rotation, nobody will be tired and everybody will be productive."

"It was real good. I got done talking to Coach Muschamp and T-Rob, just talking background," Colbert said. "I was just getting to know them. I'm going to be playing safety because they like my length and my size, and I can still play offense. I can drop back to safety, play in the box, I can blitz off the edge. That sounds good to me, that sounds real good."

Redwine via AUC LINK
quote:

“It’s probably going to end up being a close race between them and Louisville,” Redwine said.

“I’d probably say 60 percent (committed),”

“I just got this offer probably a week and some days ago,” Redwine said. “Since then, T-Rob has been on me heavy. We have a good connection from when he was at Florida. Since then, I’ve talked to him a lot.”

“They’re coming back this week on Monday,” Redwine said. “I think it’s going to be Mushcamp and T-Rob.”

“I talked to him (Gus) a lot,” Redwine said. “He told me they have a need at corner right now and they feel if I come in I’ll be able to make an early impact and do some good things here.”

“The visit went good,” Redwine said. “I enjoyed a lot of things, got to see a lot of stuff. I got to meet a lot of new people, talk to the coaches. It was real nice.”

(On Louisville's reaction to him visiting AU) “They’re not showing much concern,” Redwine said. “They’re recruiting me heavy. They have confidence in their recruitment that I’l stay with them.”

“Probably a day or two after my Texas visit. (January 30th)"
