I don't know who the GOAT is but I've seen this argument over and over and it's terrible.
QBs shouldn't be based on Super Bowls alone and 6 Super Bowl appearances > 4 Super Bowl Appearances.

That's a virtual wash statistically
Remember Montana had a serious back injury 2 years later and missed 2 seasons. If Steve Young wasn't an all time Top 10 QB himself Joe would have continued what he did at San Fran when he got healthy and won more rings.

Anyway back to recruiting. Per Florida 247 both AU and UF staffs are confident on getting Cowart. Latest intel though is from someone close to Byron and says he will pick Florida. TIFWIW.

He will choose FL when all is said and done. Coaches gave great effort but staying in Florida wins out. We will have a solid class but losing Cowart will cause a melt.

The one thing that gives me hope is as of now there are no reports of us looking to offer a DE. Knowing we need 2 DEs in this class I would think the staff offers a replacement DE.

Yup, we'll have a top 10 class regardless, but losing Cowart will result in puddles of goo everywhere, and not the good kind.

We can all pretty much agree we ain't getting Jefferson or Beckner. Key eliminated us and now Cowart is trending to UF? So, that means at best, our DL class is:
guy who's played 2 years of tackle football against small independent schools ( guy looks like a beast and could be really good in 2017)
A DT with offers from Louisville, Southern Miss, and Georgia Southern
Juco DT whose only other sec offer was MSU
It's understandable why there is going to be a big melt on Wednesday. It's not like we are so strong on the DL with current talent and depth that we can just take a mulligan for a class. Sorry I can't drink the kool aid at the moment, it appears to be spiked with negabarner well liquor.

I agree fully with this statement. I don't melt but I sure won't fault someone who does if we miss on our big targets for DL.

I refuse to melt. However, I will go around setting fires and kicking puppies.
