4 of the 6 safeties in this years pro bowl for example are shorter than 6 feet.

Being 5'10 & 5'11 is significantly different than being 5'8. Not only from a height standpoint, but also from a length standpoint.

The All-Pro safeties are 5'10, 5'11, 6'0, & 6'3. With Earl Thomas, who is the best safety in the NFL, being the shortest.

ETA: All-Pro >> Pro Bowl

What's the difference? Doesn't All Pro mean guys who are in the Pro Bowl?

Matt Elam was Muschamps best safety at UF and he was in that 5-9 to 5-11 range... granted, Irvin is definitely shorter and I'm not comparing the two as players.... Elam was one of the elite recruits in the country out of high school.

All-pro is like being an all-American.... way more elite than pro bowl.

NFL holds the voting process for the Pro Bowl. Fans, coaches, and players vote for the players.

AP chooses the All-Pro team.

The Pro-Bowl also consists of 2 teams which means more players get selected to it than the All-Pro team. Teams are also chosen based on conference (AFC & NFC). All-Pro doesn't have that separation. 86 players are selected to the Pro-Bowl every year while the All-Pro team consists of only 27 players.

Also, a lot of Pro-Bowl selected players don't even play in the game. Earl Thomas most likely won't play in it because of the super bowl.

There are 6 QBs selected to the Pro-Bowl and only 1 for the All-Pro team.

Welp it looks pretty much cut and dry for Irvin now. Per AUC a source says Irvin has been told by Strong that if he visits Auburn he's no longer a Texas commit.

If he visits expect a flip by Sunday or Monday since he has to start classes at AU no later than next Thursday.

That's strong's stance on taking visits while committed.

That's been Texas' stance for a while now, since before Mack Brown.

There is no way I would play for a coach that acted like that. He can't use the speech about how much a commitment means either while getting kids committed elsewhere to visit there.

I think it's a stupid stance too. You lose more than you keep from doing that.

No. In this particular case your wanting a guy AU already moved on from and you knew that. It's more on the overall you've been a nega. I'm not hating on you. It's just an entertaining reality...And there's nothing wrong with being nega. It brings balance to The Force.

Texas called their Florida commits the Florida 5. We bust that up if we get Irvin plus we have Cox and McGriff and odds are very likely now we get 2 corners from Florida plus have these targets still out there from Florida

Ivey
Ryan Davis
Cece
Byron
Holland
Gibson (if we can get he would be a take instead of a second corner)

therefore I said our Florida 5 to 10 will blow away Texas' Florida 4.

ETA: I forgot John Burt so it could be our Florida 6 to 11 blows away their Florida 3.

I like Irvin's hudl highlights. It lists him as a WR, yet all the highlights are of him at Safety.

The dude reminds me of Therieze. A little ball of hate. He hits the hole like a LB with bad intentions.
