As good as our OL should be next year this could easily be correct.

You don't, but to be able to run a hurry up and control the ball/clock by way of having that as an option is huge.

I think JJ will be able to run the offense very well next year, and we've already seen that he can. I also think he'll be pretty successful at picking up 3rd downs with short yardage running the ball like Cam did. Nick's not going to power any one out of the way like that. He does things that neither Cam or JJ can do, but JJ is going to be able to get the passing game on another level than it is now, imo.

It's like people forget that he was a very dynamic and athletic wing/forward in basketball that was Alabama Mr. Basketball. The kid may not be as slippery as Nick Marshall or have the burst but he damn sure can move

JJ will be a different runner but should be able to be at least reminiscent of Cam running. Add in his passing ability which will open up more running lanes and we are set

The offense ran just fine with Chris Todd behind the wheel. JJ can definitely run better than that. The read option isn't going to go away.

Considering JJ is a better passer and more athletic than Todd we should be more than fine

I would think so. Plus we'll have more talent than that team (on paper at least).

I'd like to see some of the misdirection used in that version of this offense get brought back some more too.

We should give the rest of our schollys to DE's and CBs

Might want to throw another DT in there, but yes, I mostly agree with this sentiment.

We're not though. The staff plans on not signing any more CBs unless Tony Bridges flips. That would hurt as he has become the most important recruit in this class. At DE the staff plans to sign 1 to 2. The rest look to be 1-2 more DTs, 1-2 more WRs, and 0-2 more OLs.

Until we played good teams.

Our point totals against these teams:

S Car - 16
Ark - 14
LSU - 10
uga - 7
bama - 14

S Car was the only win. I'm not trying to dog Chris Todd, but a lot of what he did was not against good teams.

DT and CB is only thing that worries me.

At DE we should be stacked next year which is surprising considering how awful we are this year.

It's cool. I was passing on the projected plan for anyone who may not have known. Thanks for accepting the post as informative in general and not condascending to you. I have had problems people misinterpreting similar posts the way I did not intend them.

Todd played in 2009 not 2011.

So what are you trying to say E? Are you talking about me in code to the board again?

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking.

However, my point still stands -

points scored in losses in 09 -

Ark - 23
Kentucky - 14
LSU - 10
uga - 24
bama - 21

While those aren't as bad as the '11 losses, it's still not anything to really brag about. We also beat Tenn, but only scored 26. And I say only, because we know what this offense can do when it's humming.

No. Was not thinking of or talking about you at all. That has happened with a number of people.

I think Todd hurt his shoulder in the Tennessee game, and was not the same after. The offense was really rolling before he got hurt.
This was not a documented injury and not talked about, just my belief from seeing him take a hit and how different his arm was after.

NM has 698 yards rushing on the season

JJ could eclipse that passing in 2 games.

Like i said JJ's passing will easily negate what we lose in NMs rushing.

You don't need a running qb to have a successful run game.

Do you not understand what the threat of Marshall keeping the ball on the zone read does for our running backs?
