Also, didn't know where to put this but UGA fans are pissed about my thread on the SECr. Didn't even mean to troll them that hard

I've got several Mizzou fans riled up pretty good just by sticking up for USCe. They are really mad about that loss.

Another note on Queen, he is playing in the Cam Newton 7-on-7 Tourney on Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday.

So he won't be in AU for very long. Still glad that he can make it to recruit for a few hours anyway.

Gibson named Auburn as a co-leader with Tennessee, whatever that means.

AU & UT Co-lead for Gibson Free read

Some snipits
quote:

1. Tennessee - “I talk to coach Butch Jones a lot. I talk to the wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni a lot. I’d like to talk to the quarterbacks coach Mike Bajaklan more so I know his plan. I do enjoy talking to coach Zach. They have a great school and campus. They play in a great conference that I like.”

1. Auburn - “I spend a lot of time talking to (quarterbacks) coach Rhett Lashlee and have gotten a feel for him. I’m comfortable with him. His offense does work. They made a beast out of Cam Newton. They have a great class coming in this year. They made it to the BCS title game last year. They have a plan and its working.”

5. Ohio State - “It’s just the staff and (Buckeyes head coach) Urban Meyer is a great coach. They have a great offensive coordinator (Tom Herman). Braxton Miller is leaving after this year and they are looking for someone to fill his spot. Even though they took a four-star quarterback (Joe Burrow) that doesn’t change my opinion of them. The Buckeyes are still a great program. I’ll visit them for the first time in the fall for an official visit. I talk to (Director of Player Personnel) Mark Pantoni and Urban on Twitter. I haven’t talked to coach Herman in a while. That’s probably why they are No. 5 for me.”

The nation’s No. 14 overall prospect regardless of position will visit Auburn this for ‘Big Cat’ weekend, starting Friday.

“I’m going with my teammates Tarvarus McFadden and Dredrick Snelson,” Gibson said. “I’m looking forward to talking to the coaches again and getting a feel again for the campus and having fun.”

In June, Gibsonn will head to Tennessee for its quarterback camp, which will feature Jon Gruden. He’ll also be at The Opening in Beaverton, Ore., in July.

Gibson’s plan remains to take all of his official visits in the fall before making his decision.

“I’ll probably make my commit a week or two after my season is done,” Gibson said.

Which offensive schemes among his finalists does he feel best fit his skill set?

“Tennessee, Ohio State and Auburn,” he said.

FWIW KK made a great point yesterday I think it was, that if TG waits that long he will probably end up at UT because AU likely will not have a spot for him at QB. Deondre Francios and Kai are very much in play for AU and both plan to commit by July. Kai has AU and FSU in his top 2. Of DF's top 6 he is not an option anymore for tOSU and Oregon. Florida is pushing for Cali QB Sheriron Jones. That would leave AU, FSU, and UT. I expect whoever commits first to pick FSU and AU can easily get the other. FWIW I like Kai and Deondre both better as QB prospects than TG.

IMO, Auburn should wait it out and try to land Torrance Gibson. We already have Tyler Queen committed, and we have the luxury of missing on Torrance Gibson in the end, if he goes to Tennessee or Ohio State. He's a superior talent, and I think he could start at cornerback, wide receiver or safety. Worth the risk, IMO.

The staff wants 4 QBs on scholly at all times and JW is likely not a real option. Not worth the risk IMO. I'd rather go ahead and take 1 of the 2 QB who are more polished passers based on staffs wants.

I would think Gibson would be a take even if we already have 2 QBs committed. Question is if we could keep both the other commits at that point.

I say pull the ole "yeah we'll give you a shot at QB" and then put him at WR.
