He's a 5* safety. He'll figure that out. Of course we should be stoked. But there's a less than 10% chance he starts at RB at AU IMO.

Possible commits he was probably talking about are:

Sharp
McGriff
Swinney (don't know now that KJ is committed)

regardless of what position he plays, the kid is a hell of an athlete... these are the kinds of guys you want on your team.... and we're in a decent enough position from a roster standpoint to not "need" KJ to play on position or another.

he's got star potential at either position.

100% agree..

While he would probably be a star at RB under Malzahn, I don't think he's got an NFL future there. We'll see, but I think we'll see a lot of him on D when all is said and done.

Is it possible to sign Kerryon, Swinney, and Jovon? Kerryon is a possible position change. Jovon will have two years of eligibility? We'll be losing two RB's this year so

jovon is one and done, barring some season ending injury or something... 2015 will be what should've been his senior season.

Respectfully disagree on Swinney. Per his words today he has not even cut thing to a Top 5 yet. As of now he does not plan to commit til football season. Besides, just my guess but I don't think his offer is commitable til Jovon makes his choice. Best guess for the third that JC was talking about is Kaleb Kim. He is close to commiting and it's between AU & UGA.

Yes, I believe so. Jovon will start next year and head to the NFL. I'm sure Swinney knows Kerryon will probably end up on D/ or isn't worried about him overtaking him for the position. Homerism aside, I think all 3 end up at AU.

Seriously? These are the guys we've always missed on. You get a consensus top 5 ATH and top 50 overall, you're damn right you're stoked about it.

Jovon will be at A Day right? He wants to decide by May right?

Doubtful as of now. KJ is the #1 RB on the staff's board and they only plan on taking 2 RBs right now.

The # we want to take at a position always changes. Swinney wants to come and I don't think we turn him down.

I'm sorry, since I know you are just handing off info. as a favor, but no way is that true. He might be #1 due to versatility, hence offering a chance at the position and seeing where it leads, but there is zero chance he's the top guy for RB.

I always trend towards the guy that really want the offer and want to be a part of the team. I think if the coaches do give him a committable offer he accepts and if Jovon later decides to come to Auburn we end up with 3 RB's
