He's a walk on from Mtn. Brook I believe. He's a pretty good player.

He looks like he'd be from Mtn. Brook. They've been really good lately, was it last season that they won state?

They won the last two in a row, actually.

I saw his highlight tape at some point. It's out there somewhere. Good defender from what I remember watching of him.

Dude can ball. He put up 33 in my alma mater when they came up to huntsville and played in the classic.

Is it normal for basketball teams to get practice reports after each practice like the football team? I'd like to read about what's going on in them, which players are looking strong, etc.

I don't completely know but I doubt it. My guess is at least during conference season where there are 2 games a week CBP meets with media after every game and do Tiger Talk each week. In preseason and noncon season my guess is once a week. Barring injury there is not much different a basketball coach to talk about on a daily basis like a football coach.

Gotcha. Apparently, there was a scrimmage yesterday. I would like to hear about the results. PM mentioned it in an article yesterday, but it didn't state what happened in the scrimmage.

I don't think any AU reporters covered it.

We are in decent shape for 4* Derrick Jones.

Scout Profile

I haven't heard anything specific about the scrimmage but here are a few things that have been shared with me.

KT is much quicker than he was last year and is on pace to have a monster year.

Atewe still isn't completely healthy but is getting much closer.

Canada is a much different player. Like KT he is a lot quicker and is getting to the basket. He has also added a pull up jumper to his game.

KC can score but isn't quite there yet defensively.

Bowers is closer to 6'5 than 6'6 but he is a load.

Purchase can flat out shoot and is a very good passer.

We will get hammered on the boards by some of the bigger teams we face.

Expect to see a lot of 4 guard lineups.

We are going to score a lot of points.

Tahj is backing up Mason at the 2.

Depth chart as of today

PG- Canada, Ross-Miller
SG- Mason, Tahj
SF- KT, Lang
PF- Purchase, Granger
C- Bowers, Atewe

That's crazy. I never thought of Purchase as a starter.

I trust CBP tho

Pearl said last week at the presser that KC is on pace to be the starting PG. I think you can throw out some of the traditional positions when looking at a depth chart. Positions look more like

PG- Ross-Miller, Canada
SG- KT (better pure shooter than Mason), TSD
CG1- Mason (more physical than KT), Lang
CG2 or F- Purchase, Granger, Canada (CBP said last week there will be some 4 guard line ups with Canada on the floor as the 4th guard)
PF- Bowers, Atewe
