DQ quotes per AUR LINK

quote:

I'm excited. It's a big game for Auburn. If they win, they could play for a national championship. I'm excited to see Coach (Dameyune) Craig and some players,

I know the crowd will be live. The crowd will be there and plus it's Alabama, so everyone will go crazy. I bet nobody will sit down.

I've never seen anything like it, it was crazy. That's called effort and not giving up on the play," said Williams. "I was thinking of what I would have done. I would have gone up and taken the ball, I would have attacked that ball, I'd have got it myself.

I'm planning to visit LSU next weekend for sure," said Williams. "I'm not going there if I don't visit first.

Hopefully the game will be entertaining and not too much running the ball," he said. "It's just Auburn is running too much for me. That's taking a toll on me. I'm committed to Auburn, but I'm having second thoughts. They run the ball really well and they score points, but I want to go where they are passing the ball a lot. LSU has done that.

LSU is a balanced attack, where Auburn is going to have multiple one-thousand-yard rushers, but no one-thousand-yard receivers," Williams said. "Playing opposite Sammie (Coates) could benefit me, but LSU loses both top receivers. I just know more about their passing situation.

Auburn's going to have to throw the ball. They won't be able to just run on Alabama all day, so I'm sure Auburn will throw it. I'll see what they do, but if it's not what I'm looking for, I'm not sure. I love Coach (Gus) Malzahn and Coach Craig, but I have to go where I can get opportunities.

Coach Craig talks to me about being a big-play receiver and I trust him and Coach Malzahn, but I'm just not sure. They think I can be a big impact player, but I'm not sure I can see it. I have to go off of fit.

I believe it will be a shootout and Auburn will take it in the end. They have to believe they can play with Alabama, they put their pads on the same as Auburn. They just have t believe,
He is visiting Auburn for the Iron Bowl and LSU on December 7 or 14.

I don't think so. I think he is being pretty rational and still has not made up his mind. I think he likes us as much or more than LSU but is concerned about how much we have run the ball this year. Seems like how much we do or do not throw in th IB may be meaningful to him as well.

Wherever DQ ends up, I wish him the best. The kid appears to rationally think through situations. I won't fault him at all going to LSU. Hell, in his situation, that's probably where I would go if it were down to AU/LSU.

As an AU fan, I'm content with the WRs and their potential with an offseason with Marshall. Rudolph is who I am banking on at this point. DQ won't be at AU.

pretty much what I have seen from him and I don't blame him. His goal is to be in the league and to get the early round money, you need to get the ball and prove you can play before you hit the combine.

I don't blame him on his opinions, they are correct and he is looking at all the things the right way, as a business decision.

Per LSU 247 recruiting reporters Nope. The LSU staff will not try to get a commit from DQ til they know what Noll, Dupre, and the kid with the weird last name that starts with an I do. Still looks like they will not try to get a flip til early January if they push at all.

Not this again....Waiting for Lurkers to enter and bash you again...

Plenty have said he is a take from LSU. With Landry and Beckham looking to go to the NFL, they want DW.

btw: DW? He gone bro

LSU will have more uncertainty at the QB position than we will next season... plus we do a great job of gettin our WRs envolved in the running game. He's probably gone if LSU makes a hard sell, but I wouldn't count out DC.

Look, I'm not saying he's 100% gone because if he were, he wouldn't be making the visit. But at this point, it sounds like he's looking for any reason to stay home at LSU. Honestly, I can't fault him for some of those reasons. Our passing game is way too inconsistent -- it's the primary reason why I don't think we'll beat 'Bama -- and the guy strikes me as a JUCO kid who cares more about making plays that will get him noticed so he can jump to the league ASAP rather than winning at his next school (not judging him. More power to him. He can go to a school for whatever reason he wants. Just making an observation).

If I'm Gus, I sit down either one-on-one with D'haquille or with Dameyune after Saturday's game, and I get a sincere answer from him about what he's thinking. Is Auburn still a legitimate option for him after the Iron Bowl and is it worth our time to keep recruiting him, or does he just want to stay home at LSU? I'm getting a pretty firm answer from him on that if I'm Gus. If he indicates he's not really feeling AU anymore, I think we should make a mutual split because A) this is getting ridiculous and B) we need to move on to other WR targets.

Our passing game is what it is this year, but I'd really like to keep D'haquille because he's a special talent and I'm already getting visions of him torching our secondary next year. Here's to hoping Marshall at least hits a couple of deep bombs and completes more than 50 percent of his passes.

But my confidence level in keeping him about is hovering around 5 percent.

D'haquille isn't going to his next school to block or do speed sweeps.

DQ may in fact be a take but if he is nobody credible has said it. If they have then it has not been posted in this thread.

I agree with this, although it would be nice to have a real difference-maker at the position. Sammie would be great if he had any consistency, and I'd really like to see us Louis more involved in the passing game.

Until the UGA game, we couldn't get him the ball expect on speed sweeps and bubble screens. He's a big, physical guy that we need to take advantage of against smaller DBs.

But again, if Marshall can't get them the ball regularly, none of the physical traits matter.
