Do we even have a center to replace Reese after 2014? I don't see why you wouldn't wanna come to Auburn as a center right now but perhaps I am biased.

Dampeer will be here till '15.

I'm getting a feeling that the coaches are playing the gamble of finishing strong on the season and trying to flip a few higher profile guys in January and February.
Been part of the plan for the 2014 class all along. The staff knows it does not have the time to develop good relationships that are needed with recruits given they are at least a year behind most staffs in that area. They thought it best to focus on winning this season to catch the eye of some higher targets than take recruits they consider marginal targets.

Casher says Auburn is out. Either bama or FSU. Announcement tomorrow.

Is it just my phone or is everyone else hearing the Bama announcer on a edited down version of all the Alabama touchdowns from this season playing in the background of that article? Can even read the damn article.

one of the Bama coaches might have called him while he was with an Auburn coach and said "yeah, I guess we'll take you in the class" and he told our coaches to frick off, he's doing the hump, the humpty dance is your chance to do the hump.

@robpate: Wow, it appears Josh Casher out of Mobile was all set to do his best Yeldon impersonation till Gus & Co. cut it off at the head. Nice try.

Wonder if that's true.

holy shite. what is the point of this crap from these kids? If this is true I hope he goes to Bama and rides pine and disappears into nothing in 3 years.

Bama's Oline and Oline class is stacked. Casher won't sniff any playing time for a long time when he does it will be at Center despite him believing he can be a 6'1 guard

Looking into this situation now ...
Everyone I had talked to thought he was going to Auburn. Including people at Bama. They are surprised today.
Austin talked to Casher on Saturday night after the game, and got the impression Auburn told him it wasn't taking him.
It is our understanding Josh wanted to commit Saturday. Auburn apparently said "No thanks."

How would the coaches know for sure if Casher was going to "pull a Yeldon"? I don't understand that at all, and I don't buy it. My guess is Gus put certain restrictions on Casher if he was going to commit, and Casher didn't wanna oblige.

But I have a real hard time believing Casher wanted to commit and Gus didn't take him because he knew he'd eventually switch to Bama.
