Thompson: is a beast and hopefully with Garner and the improvements we're going to see this season he has us in his top 3 going into 2014.

Thompson is really early in his recruitment and I am telling you that for now, Auburn is doing extremely well with him. All the 247 predictions are based solely off him being a Georgia product and one time he said they led after a visit there

At last report 2 or 3 weeks ago the staff felt pretty good about him.

The staff has not decide yet that it will even take another WR in this class.
Any word if they are planning on resigning ER or JS from the last class at WR?

Yes on Jason Smith last I heard. ER maybe?? Prbably depends on how we look at WR when that time comes.

Trent Thompson and his recruitment are similar to Adams. He may be ready to play year one physically. He wants to be close to home and his Mom. His Mom will play a big role in where he goes just like MA. Auburn is closer to Albany, GA than Athens, GA is. FWIW, when he was asked his reasons for a UGA lean were 1)They were first to offer 2) His Mom liked them. I have been told by two people that would know that he and his Mom are both VERY high on AU. There is plenty of time and from my perspective we are in very good shape.

On SDH and his situation, I was told the same thing E said but it wasn't from KN. This staff isn't going to play with the Liner's/Foster's of the world. He doesn't have the cloudt that Reuben thought he had. Plus Dismuke's made it clear he would slap the (dark skin pigmentation) off of anyone attempting to recruit for bammer while at AU. I don't really care where he goes unless we sign him and if we do he better "bring it" because IMO Davis is a better all around LB.

Smith ended up at JUCO... 2015 is the earliest either one can get to campus.

In other words, can't answer Rabren's at this time because the staff does not know yet. Smith and ER will have to be elite jucos to get an AU offer next year.

my thoughts as well... no reason to sign a guy with only two years of eligibility left when you can bring in younger guys with just as much upside and more eligibility.

It's not like we're really hurting for WRs for 2014... Marcus Davis has stepped up nicely, Evans and Goodwin have tons of upside, and DW will be here next season.

Quotes from DQ via Rivals LINK
quote:

I'm looking at the quarterback situation," Williams told AuburnSports.com. "If the quarterback doesn't produce, how will I produce? I'm committed, still, the quarterback has to get the job done, that's what I'm looking at. I'm committed there because I want to be there, but I have to look at the quarterback position regardless.

I have four official visits, but I'm not sure what they will be. I'm going to take four more visits," said Williams. "I'm still picking my options out, I'm just trying to make the right choices for the visits I have left.

That's my boy (Moncrief), we talk every day. I talk to him every day and whenever I see him," said Williams. "He's on track and a leader on defense. He's always ready. We still talk about Auburn.

He committed to us with a shitshow at QB. Our offense has done nothing but improve.

no one can blame him for what he's doing... i'd do the exact same in his situation. he's got one year to make a splash... he can't afford a work-in-progress QB situation.

will be interesting to see where his other four OVs will be... lots of programs in the SEC will have new QB in 2014... granted, he may be looking out of the conference.

I think he stays as long as we have a reasonable passing attack. He knows we dont have a WR so he will be like Julio in 09 above average passing attack team but shined due to being the star WR

You can look at our statline and start being worried about our passing attack

True. Just concerns me he hasn't even watched a game yet. Hopefully Marshall will keep improving and we hang on to him

Ellitor, how in the world is it that Prattville lost to Spain Park 19-16 yet Pettaway ran for 150+ yards at 10+ ypc?

Is your coach a moron?

Don't know about this year, but Prattville usually has no QB.
