For someone that small getting so many D1 offers, it is amazing to me that he does not possess some absurd athletic ability.
Exactly, he's just not anything special. He doesn't have blazing speed, he's short, and he's light.

Not even that good for AU HS either. Be one thing if his stat sheet looked like Manziel's coming out of HS but shite, he is pedestrian and a authority problem (dreadlocks for BBall?)

Taylor's a WR so I'd be shocked if his stats looked like JFF's

I meant along the lines of Taylor lighting up the HS circuit at WR/ KR / PR or anything really

I don't want BT myself. Really I just don't want anything having to do with Trooper hanging around the program.

Agree, I don't see real interest from either side anyway.

I think UT is just using him to get in with other recruits.

John Bonney just drove 700 miles from Houston to Auburn for a single day. Making a decision at the end of summer

Unfortunately, that'd be an NCAA violation...

unless you're the new bagman...

Those rules can be pretty frickin vague.

If he paid for part of the gas/offered some service or benefit not related to his athletic ability/reputation in exchange for driving him then it is permissable I believe.

Same reason why for my friend's parents in town they took us out to dinner and a player came with who had no prior relationship. Parents were not boosters and he wasn't given preferential treatment

That or Auburn frickED

ESPN is so slow and inaccurate on everything. I love their format, but they should just give up on their recruiting altogether. They just don't do a good job... Ever.

I will give them credit for being high on Carl Lawson from the beginning. Very high.
Respectfully partially disagree. They are slow in our eyes because they don't have an Auburn Nation site. Any Auburn news they release comes from the guys working for Tide Nation and Dawg Nation. They have to cover their own before they get to anything concerning Auburn. An Auburn nation site would speed things way up. And given they do not have the recruiting resources right now that 247, Rivals, and scout has I think they are doing good, especially considering they are light years ahead of Scout for 3rd in recruiting. They are improving some. They have become the best for info and ranking jucos after basically neglecting them for a few years.

Update on 4* QB Drew Barker Per Hoke. Auburn plans to go see him throw this spring and offer him then. He sees himself as an ideal fit for a Gus type offense and expects to play in a similar offense in college.

He is #1 on my QB wish list. He has a fluid, effortless throwing motion, hits receivers in stride, and can make some tough throws accurately.

Unfair to judge Barker off of Zeke's psychotic self. As a football player Barker is much better.

His release is slow, much like Fraizer's. That's a problem when facing quick and powerful D's in this league.

I've always wondered why they don't have an Auburn nation. I mean, we have one of the rabid fan bases in the country. I mean, it really doesn't matter, but they have like a Washington, Oregon, Texas a&m, and some others(those are just the ones off the top of my head) that should not come before an Auburn one.

Not impressed by what I have seen. He looks best running the read options.
He did show some touch on passes, but I didn't see much arm strength, he took too long with reads, has a slow delivery, and made some poor decisions.
He is able to get away with this due to the competition.
