Oh, I see so they know something about which way Harris is going. BM may not get all of them right, but he is pretty careful with his selections imo.

Yeah Harris had said his grandmother would inform the coaches tomorrow of where he was going. I'm guessing that might have happened today.

Bryan Matthews changed his prediction on Harris to LSU. But he said he doesn't really have anything to back it up and it may change. Seems like everyone's gut feeling is LSU but no one has any solid info
You sugar coated that a bit to look better for Auburn. You left out this what IMO is an important detail

You missed my point, which I probably could have stated more effectively...but they seem to be recruiting the hell out of every slot receiver they can find...whether it be 2014, '15, or whatever, while they seem to be putting all their eggs in the Dhaquille Williams/Cam Sims/Trey Quinn basket. And quite frankly, it would probably be quite the stretch to consider either a lean to us at this point. It seems like they need to do a better job recruiting true WR for THIS class...

I know we signed a lot of OL in the 2012 class but the idea of only signing 4 high school OL in 2 years scares the hell out of me.

Slot WR can be converted to corner.

There's nobody to replace. We can't have 20 OL on the roster. According to Rivals, we have:

LT: Robinson (RS So), Coleman (RS Fr)
OG: Kozan (RS Fr), Danzey (So)
C: Dismukes (Jr), Fariyike (Jr)
OG: Slade (RS Jr), Diamond (RS Fr)
RT: Miller (So), Young (RS Fr)

And then we have Callahan, Adams, and Leff who are all RS Fr. Add Casher and whoever else we sign and we have 15 OL in 2014. That's plenty enough

Look at the OL roster thuogh. There is not a need to sign more than 2 this year. We have

0 Seniors
3 Juniors (only 2 will be starters)
4 Sophs
7 Freshmen

We finally are learning how to RS players along the OLine which means that signing 2 this year is the perfect amount

as long as we take a center and a guard this year I wouldn't hate it. We don't have a lot of room this year and we have to manage what can have the biggest impact for us.

Right now we have to take a quarterback. If no one leaves, will still be thin after next year.

I don't see a way around taking at least 2 running backs this year if not a third.

If Jason Smith comes back to us before the spring, we still have to take at least 2 receivers this year if not a third.

We are taking a tight end.

Offensive linemen. We will take at least 2 if not a third. We need a center and a guard.

As for defense, I'm not sure what the plan is. I know we need 2 or 3 linebackers, 2 safeties, at least 1 corner and always need to take at least 2 tackles and 2 ends.

Here are the staff's plans as of right now.
quote:

QB 1
RB 1 or 2. If we don't get Roc the coaches seem content with Kam Pettway and calling it a day.
TE 2
WR 2 or 3
OL 2
DE 3
DT 3
LB 2 or 3 If we don't get Evans the coaches seem content with Tre and Davis and calling it a day. CB 2
S 3
Total 22 to 24
