He visited right before NSD

Elijah Daniel

OVd the week before NSD as well

Still kinda strange to jump 2 programs that he is still more familiar with over one visit.

Strange for him to go to a consistent power with great recruiters for an OV that he felt good enough to OV in the first place, have an amazing time then name them his leaders? We've done that to kids too

I don't think I have heard a recruit say this in my history of following AU recruiting. I always thought it was reserved for other schools

No shite. It's nice to finally recruit a kid that was an Auburn fan.

All BS aside, Auburn has the best staff in the SEC. Gus just has it. And IT isn't for sale.

It is nice to recruit a kid who actually cares about being an Aiburn fan growing up. We recruit a lot of "Auburn fans" who throw that out

***Rivals100 Braden Smith...
Olathe (Kan.) offensive tackle Braden Smith, Auburn is now in the mix. Will OV.

Notre Dame, Texas A&M and TCU are in the picture. Signing day decision.

Would be a huge pickup. Huge.

Wow. I wonder what happened here. Didn't the OL coach somewhere in Kansas or something?

I would love for us to pick up an elite high school talent on the OL this year. Seems strange that we didn't try to get 2 or 3 guys on the OL this year with having a top heavy line group now.

Braden is a man child in the Carl Lawson mold. 6'-06"&290. His body is similar as well. No bad weight.

He looks like this at 290 pounds. I am stoked we have a chance

Something's going on with his recruitment. How is a top 100 recruit at an elite position that's undecided not getting blown up by every school in the country? Even Mike Farrell made mention of this in a recruiting roundup recently. Something's a red flag for a lot of schools.

Very strange.

The kid is just a farm boy who doesn't have any interest in doing the recruiting rounds. He says his dream is to be a pumpkin farmer

Also I have heard people wonder if his frame can hold more weight

This. We couldn't have this running game without our ridiculous O line. We only had 2 or 3 OL commits last year

We took 2 and one was a juco. We are deep, but we've been extremely fortunate to not have any serious injuries this year. I'd love to take at least another top notch OL in this class, especially since we've got a couple juco guys who aren't going to be here a full 4-5 years.
