What happened to UCLA leading? I swear it changes every time he is interviewed.

UCLA has never lead, regardless of what he says. He's just trying to drudge up some interest in his announcement.

I know. I just find it funny.

He also said he won't be announcing at the UA game but will probably be a late January decision.

Excellent, man.

Sounds good for Auburn then, unless we have the same source.

Bama is our only real competition for Evens. They can sell him the jack lb spill and rightfully so. UCLA is just a novelty that will wear off when he gets more serious about narrowing down his list. If he were announcing today his list would look like this

AU
Bama
UGA
UCLA

I maintain my theory that Evans was trolling UCLA for their handling of the Allen recruitment. Otherwise he is all Auburn!!

2015 5* LB and Auburn Legacy Jeff Holland got some Auburn gear for Christmas and loves it

LINK

Also, random question about impermissible benefits. Former Auburn lettermen get some benefits and access that aren't normal and likely free AU stuff if they desired. What is an isn't allowed with that?

Former Letterman can't recruit or give anything to a prospect that they didn't know before the kid became a football prospect.

We have a few former players whose kids/nephews/whatevers are being recruited like this 5* Jake Holland LB

If we can keep our staff intact, 2015 could end up a for real "Dream Team"! And we won't even have to go outside AL, GA, FL and maybe MS.

If we close out with Evans, this class is a dream team for me. The caliber of LB and DB being brought in is phenomenal, and should make any AU fan happy.

I would like to close with Russell and Evans. That would give us a nice balanced haul on defense and some elite talent on offense.

Rudolph would be great but I becoming less confident about him, I think we will have to throw the ball a little next year to get a couple elite receivers.

former lettermen can give gifts if they have a preexisting family relationship where they have given said recruit gifts before

Say your dad was a former player, what stops Auburn for funneling gifts through the dad as a former letterman?
