Wonder why we're looking at another QB? We seem to be okay for now.
Also I have not read anything definitive that we are recruiting Treon strictly as a QB FWIW.

just my guess, but we've seen how successful this offense can be with a track star at QB running the read option.

There's an article about Antrell Allen, a DB/CB(?) for Auburn HS opening up his recruitment after being committed to UCLA since August. Article states he's hoping for an Auburn offer?
Seems things are going according to plan with a lot of guys giving us a second look

Great CB, but not SEC talent. His aunt (who he lives with) really wants him to be able to stay home to play, though. Doubt it happens.

Allen already has a relationship with head coach Gus Malzahn, who offered Allen a scholarship while he was at Arkansas State in 2012.
The 5-foot-10, 192-pounder recorded 38 solo tackles, 42 total tackles and six interceptions this season.
"I've improved a lot," Allen said. "I put on a lot of muscle and improved in my man coverage. It was great. We came out with a couple nail-biters. We had a great season."
Gus recruited him at Arky State so there's that connect and he's aware of his flaws and has tried to improve them.
Hopefully he won't go to another school and turn into Demarcus Ware :-/

He's borderline SEC talent. If we had the room it wouldn't hurt to take him, but I don't think we'll have that extra scholly. Hopefully he Isn't Ameer Abdullah part 2.

I wish we had room for Allen.. yes he's not SEC talent right now but he has the desire to be great and prove people wrong. Everything I've heard about the kid has been positive. Whoever gets him should be proud.

I'll take the Allens over the Roses and Florences any day.

I saw SEC talent in Abdullah more than I see in Allen. Abdullah was putting up gaudy statistics in 6A football but people didn't think he had the size.

6 interceptions seems pretty gaudy to me
I say grey shirt offer. True sign of being a dominant program

Both pretty incredible stories

Didn't we get Mason the same year as Abdullah? I would rather have Mason and Grant over Abdullah.

I think Mason was the year after. I wish we had gotten Ameer.
