I don't remember his stats but I think they are reasonable. I think the thing that may give him the bump though is that athletically he is superb. 6'6 rangy and with a frame to build on. I see him being a Dion Jordan type guy (best case)

Yea, I knew he had good measurables. I'm sure he'll redshirt to get up to size stength/weight wise. I think he could be very good for us after a year or two getting his body right and working with CRG.

FSU has recently turned up the heat on UF WR commit Ermone Lane. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with Rudolph and Auburn, but last night Lane tweeted a pic of him in a FSU jacket, but then quickly deleted it. A big time wr like Lane could push Rudolph away from FSU...

E, what is Pettaway's height and weight? Jay Tate just mentioned that he was 200 pounds in his article and every listing has him at 230
I assume it it a mistake

quote:No. He only comes around for NSD and the week before it.
Has Scott made any predictions this year?
quote:Pretty sure that was Jonesy.
I think someone here posted that he said he doesn't have connections anymore after Chizik & co left.
ST still has connections. He broke the info about Monty Adams to Auburn a day before the recruiting sites did.

quote:He is a composite 3 because Scout has him as the #71 WR. Don't count on Scout when looking for bumps. It's a major surprise when they do.
Truitt is already a 4* on 247 but should get that bump on the composite as well
quote:At Al/Miss All Star practice yesterday the said he checked in at 5'11, 235 lbx.

OK, guys... So I have been reading that RaShaan Evans is being recruiting for the SPUR/STAR position in Ellis Johnson's defense, and we have been relayed this information through various insider sites (such as 247, Rivals, Scout).
However, IMO, I feel like this is just our recruiting pitch. As of now, I think the Auburn staff wants him as a stand up linebacker (WILL), that makes the transition to a rush linebacker during passing situations. Think Von Miller here, 43 linebacker for the Denver Broncos. Well, maybe I am pushing it here, but this is what I would want RaShaan Evans to do. His specialty is pass rushing, he will continue to grow, etc...

I think Rashaan is just going to be a "What position comes most naturally" and he will be tried out everyone he potentially could fit

Yep. And don't forget we've got Justin Garrett for two more years as long as he gets his medical waiver as expected.
I had totally forgotten about him until a couple of weeks ago. He'll be a huge addition to our defense.

It's not a recruiting pitch. Star is a playmaking position and that's what Evans is. I lived in Columbia and went to every USC game while Ellis was there. He is using Therezie differently than he did Devonte Holloman and Antonio Allen at USCe. The Star isn't limited to pass coverage. Ellis has(had) multiple packages for the Star to be used as a pass rusher, but that's not Therezie's strength. The beauty of Star, and I'm sure this is what they are telling Evans, is that you can make plays all over the field.
Ellis knows what he is doing. Once he gets a few above average LBs you will start to see Auburn defense of the early 2000's start to surface. Especially with how well Ellis uses the DL and the players we have and will have there.

Easy! It moved a little bit.
I have wet dreams about having a defense like Tubs put on the field. I just want to see us be able to consistently stop the run. I think with the way offenses are going, you're going to have to pick one or the other, and I'd rather give up the pass and be able to shut down the run.
It's kind of like we're going back to playing Tuberville ball, but with a totally different kind of offense. Run the ball. Stop the run. Sound kicking game.

Are the dimensions of that picture correct, or have they been stretched horizontally?
