Definitely not. Although he may have reached the age of majority, which is not only the proper term, but much more accurate regarding Foster.

He shouldn't be 19 yet if he's still in HS. But BM said you had to be 21. That sounded weird to me though since you can sign a contract at 19.

From the NCAA website regarding National Letters of Intent:

quote:

Must include a parent or legal guardian
signature if the prospective student-athlete is
under the age of 21, regardless of marital
status.

so, RF's mom will no doubt have to put her signature on the LOI... could be interesting.... wouldn't mind a reverse cyrus kuandrijdango situation...

Didnt a recruits mother object to school choice last year? I'd think they would acquiesce to the players choice.

what if RF actually did commit to bama tonight but sign with AU on Wed?... trolling them twice in one recruiting cycle?... he'd be the most hated high schooler in the state's history...

well then that's good news.

So mike dyer is the only player we've ever had who didn't need a parent's signature.

Per Volnation, Ford may be a back-up for Auburn who may still be looking to land a higher ranked RB like Folston.

Their thought process was that if he signed today it was to reserve his spot at Auburn but if he waited until NSD, he was a Vol lock because Auburn got someone better. Apparently the Vols RB situation is worse than ours and he's guranteed a spot there

However, this if from Volnation so TIFWIW

I think that was Landon Collins' mom that didn't like his UA choice last year.

There was also the mother that forged her sons name and sent the LOI to the school she wanted him to go to.

Stopped reading.

That place is starting to rival Jeffery Lee in homerism. And that's saying something.

true, she didn't like it, but Collins made his final decision a month or so before NSD, and he didn't have a toddler at home being cared for by the grandmother...

Do it for the kid, Reuben...

It was. It was a very awkward announcement for him at the UA game last year with his mom sitting there with him saying he should go to LSU.

I wish he'd just go to San Diego State and we could act like he never existed.
