Fairley came out of no where his last season at Auburn. Maybe one of these guys will also.

I got a feeling we could see alot of guys emerge and fade with this new staff and system.

It's also perfect for the early enrolls who will be on a level playing field.

Georgia Rivals article on Toby Johnson

Sounds like we're in pretty okay shape to get him.

Whitaker, Wright and Blackson have all shown flashes of being really good, but can't do it every down for whatever reason.

Whitaker hasn't shown signs of anything positive. Not sure who you've been watching the last 3 years.

I'm just not sure Whitaker and Carter are going to do anything.

Truth. Need to process Carter. When he able to say of his feet (about 40% of the time) he is still awful.

Wright and Blackson still have a chance to show up

They will both be juniors next season. That window of them doing anyhting is losing fast. Wright looks like a bust so far.

quote:

Sigler, Niles and Nero are TBD in terms of what they can do

no opinion on any of these three. But since Chizik scouted them, I doubt they are SEC talent.

quote:

It'll be Eguae, Sanders, Owens and Ford

So basically we are boned. Sanders is a bust. Ford cant stay healthy. Eguae is nothing agreat and disappears in games. Owens is the only potential we have at DE.

What is the deal with Milton HC Howie DeCristofaro (Carl Lawson's coach)

That guy has talked more trash about Auburn than Mickey Conn over at Grayson. He has never once said a positive thing about AU despite his star player being committed there

I'm not so sure about Carl and Auburn, but we'll see

This has been this guy since before the coaching change.

Then he talks up Ole Miss and Carl later in the article

You might want to link what you are talking about because I don't have any idea and I'm sure other people don't either

Anybody got a summary of the rivals article? Says something about Melton visiting and what he thinks about a couple of commits.

quote:

Melton remains confident about the potential for the Tigers' finish to the 2013 class.

"I believe we can keep Dee Liner and Carl Lawson, those are big ones right there," Melton said. "Dee doesn't like to talk to the media, but I think Auburn is in his heart. I think he wants to keep his options open.

"With Reuben, he's keeping his options open, but he wants to make sure he gets along with the new Auburn coaching staff. But we tried not to talk about it too much during the all-star week."

Get off Brannigan's dick. He's opinionated and can be a douche about it, but everyone here that's been here more than a month knows and accepts that. Calling everyone "bammers" isn't going to get you very far here.

And on a recruiting note, Lawson worries me. I don't like all the silence from his side

Anyone know if we are hosting some recruits this weekend?

Cam Luper just decommitted from Texas A&M.

Realize that Luper is gone but he doesn't seem like a horrible fallback option for WR/DB if we need one

We need a board etiquette/ rules thread pinned

Something that goes a little bit like this

1- This is a place for rationale and opinionated debate and not suited for people stuck up Aubie's arse with homerism

2- Do not call someone a bammer because they said something not 100% pro Auburn

3- Limit the posting of useless posts that do not contribute anything like "WDE!" or " " unless being sarcastic or the news is that fricking great

4- Scan the board's threads before starting a new one

5- Provide links/sources to the best of your ability and state that it is your opinion if it is

6- Read posts on the board before posting to make sure you aren't being an idiot if you are new

Throw it in the "Everything Auburn" thread and change the title to "Read This First" or something along those lines imo

There's only so much room left in the "Everything Auburn" OP.. like 20 words or something like that. Just create another thread if it really needs to be said THAT badly.

Which I don't think it really is that big of an issue.

No rules are needed. Those guys will be taken care of by the masses. Homers usually have thin skin, and will be gone after a few post.

Ok yeah I see now. frick that guy and that article. Hopefully Garner and Johnson can sway Carl. It's obvious we need him. Hopefully he loves AU enough to stick with us.

We don't need posting etiquette/rules. I'm sure AUTiger2234 is an alright guy but if we don't stomp out those responses when they happen then new posters are going to continue to assume that's something worth posting.
