Yep Bradley said that if he goes to Auburn Toby promised to follow him.

Just speculation on my part but the HUNH is fast and scores alot so you need a number of DTs to slow down the other team's run game and keep starters as fresh as possible.

You are correct. Oregon frequently plays two D-lines and substitutes them often. With more Spread teams in our conference we will need that depth and fresh legs. If we frequently substitute we will be good through the 4th QTR and less chance of wearing down. Also, that depth will pay off over the years and hopefully with all the new staff and S&C we will be able to produce more 3 and outs...

You can never have enough quality DT's, especially in the SEC. Tell em it's an open tryout next year and play the best ones.

If they watched any of our games from last year they should already know it is an open tryout

With us going with the 4-2-5, and having a designated SPUR position for a hybrid player, where does every see McKinzy and Foster being placed? Let's just assume Reuben Foster eventually signs with Auburn...

OLB - McKinzy
MLB - Foster
SPUR - Brandon King

Where does everyone see Kris Frost fitting in?

Kris Frost at safety? Too big... He's around 235 now and doesn't have the best hips. I was mainly asking where everyone thought he would fit in regarding the linebackers.

Tate had an article addressing this last week. Said he could play S.

Spur position rotates out depending on situation. USCe has used larger guys that are in the 6'3 245 range to play Spur on short distance downs

I have a hard time believing that Foster starts from day 1. Rotational player sure.

Cassanova Mckinzey isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and more than likely will have a difficult adjustment learning the defense. He probably should stop going to fraternity houses and smoking joints the week before the game too.

LB- Mckinzey 2-...Holland
LB- Frost 2-Foster

Spur- Garrett/King

Honestly, I'd be shocked if he could make the transition...

Yeah, if it's 3rd and 1, you're not gonna have your smaller spur player in there. You'll have a bigger LB in there. I wonder if Javiere Mitchell would be a candidate for spur. I could see him, Frost, Therezie and obviously King as possibilities.

And I agree that Foster won't start from day 1. I think he and McKinzey will rotate at MLB and Frost and Garrett will rotate at OLB.

Also, there's an article on Bradley but I'm too lazy to link either

My reason for bringing up both didn't exactly have to concern this coming season. What about next year when they've both had experience? Would it be wise to get them both on the field at the same time? I personally believe McKinzy would be pretty good on the outside and that would allow Foster to start at middle.

Getting the best players on the field at one time...

Dumb question. Will we have a true MLB or will it be 2 LBs splitting the gaps?

the stuff I know about the 4-2-5 is that the big safety/spur can slide up to play a coverage outside linebacker. So I would assume that there is still a middle and outside linebacker but it is more considered a strong and weakside linebacker.
