Hey Ellitor, did he ever mention anything else on Dee Liner?

He hasn't commented/added about it on AUfamily yet either so I am going with a no not yet

ETA: Hoke says that Peyton Barber is going to try and schedule an OV and he enjoyed his visit.

quote:

We try to stay out of talking about recruiting and keep it friendly," Barber said. "He's said a couple of words about Auburn, I've said some stuff about Ole Miss, that's as far as it goes. I didn't even know I was coming today, it was spur of the moment."

quote:

(Auburn) is up there with the choices I have to pick from. I'm going to see what I can do with my officials and rearrange them. I have to arrange a visit to Auburn, I just have to be sure when. I may try and do it with Carl, I'd like to."

quote:

"I'm solid with Ole Miss -- I'm just weighing my options and making sure I make the right decision," Barber said.

very good. That could be awesome to lock down the last official for Lawson and bring his buddy with him.

Yeah, he said 23 said he thinks DC and RG seal the deal or lock up Dee now that the dead period is over and they can do their thing.

Jeremy Johnson threw the ball about 50 yards with ease off his back foot on that last TD. As he matures more physically, he's gonna be a powerful QB, running and throwing.

JJ will be a great QB at Auburn. He has all the tools and the intangible of having grown up in Alabama as an Auburn fan.

The announcers at the AA bowl said he grew up a Bama fan unless they were wrong. I heard he was an AU fan growing up too but just pointing that out.

They said he was a bama fan in a family of bama fans and that he was considering Ole Miss.

They said a couple other things about other players that were totally wrong, too. They said Demarcus Robinson is going to uga and that Mackensie Alexander is committed to LSU.

Hoke will have a story up on Garner's visit with Lawson's dad shortly. Carl didn't make it back form Orlando in time, but Garner and Lawson Sr met and talked for the first time

Understand getting in the Lawson home early but why they did it while Carl wasn't there seemed a little interesting unless it was more about impressing the dad

Quotes from Carl Lawson Sr.

quote:

"We are starting to build a relationship where we are getting to know Coach Garner and know more about him. He wants to know who Carl is and begin to build that relationship,"

"I think he was honest. We talked slightly about the past -- even more about looking towards the future. I think it was a great first step."

"Running that 3-4 defense, they didn't feel like Carl was the best fit -- they would have recruited him at outside linebacker there. Coach Garner was very clear that he believes Carl is a great player that fits Auburn. He wanted to get across he likes Carl," Lawson Sr. said. "What happened about the past doesn't matter if they can have a good relationship in the future. Me personally, it doesn't really matter. By the time Georgia got into it, Carl was already with Auburn. That's the reason the relationship didn't go any further."

"It was about us trusting him and him doing the right thing by Carl," Lawson Sr. said. "Auburn has done everything they can to let us know they want Carl, love Carl, and Coach Garner feels passionate about re-building Auburn for the future. That's their focus."

"He said something interesting. He said since like 1993, only one SEC program has been undefeated three times -- Auburn is that program. They've been undefeated before and they'll be undefeated again. He said he rooted for Auburn 364 days a year. I'm a Georgia Tech guy so I understand his passion for his school," Lawson Sr. said. Lawson Sr. is also impressed with the staff Auburn has compiled. He feels the strength of the entire staff and their experience is a benefit and a plus for the Tigers. "All the hires are very good moves," Lawson Sr. said. "Hiring Coach Garner was a good move -- his track record you can't deny it."

"He's quiet, he likes quiet," Lawson Sr. said. "He saw that in Auburn. He likes the campus, the fans -- but he's never de-committed from Auburn so people understand that. "We'll move forward and decide if Auburn is the best fit. Auburn was his number one choice before and Auburn is still under high consideration."

Just read the story on AuburnSports.com...

I get the feeling that Carl Lawson's pops wants Carl in Auburn. I think he sticks.

Carl Sr. said this back in March. I doubt that kind of passion about his son's school is entirely based on a coaching staff

quote:

“My father wanted me to go to Auburn,” the younger Lawson said. “He wanted me to commit the last time I was there. He likes Auburn. My family loves it. Last time I visited Auburn, I named them as my leader. This time, I committed.”
