Not to be a huge homer, but the fact that we could very well keep these kids shows how great of a place Auburn is. We are a complete crap hole right now with a brand new coaching staff, but these consensus top 25 recruits haven't written us off. If we can hold on to all these guys and get back Foster as well as snag Adams, we will be in amazing shape to turn this thing around.

Sorry to go Family on everyone.

I don't care if he trolls fans or recruiting reporters. People are too obsessed and intrusive into these kids lives. As long as he is straight up with the coaches, that is all that matters.

People are crapping on Lawson now for not being upfront about recruiting. 247 had an article where Lawson basically said that he tells all the reporters "no comment" and now they have learned not to bother him because he doesn't say anything.

I am really amazed how many of these recruits give their numbers to these reporters and text with them. That is the creepiest part of all the recruiting hype is that a 40 year old man texts recruits to see what's up.

Blake Alderman ?@MistaAlderman
Trey Johnson says he spoke with #auburn today. Could possibly not announce at #UAGame this Friday.

Antonio Conner said he will officially visit Auburn in January. Conner will announce on Friday, but will take visits. Conner also mentioned two prospects that are recruiting him to Auburn, one prospect is currently committed to Auburn, one isn't.

Has to be Reuben Foster.

Definitely a shocking turn.

I just can't see him signing with Auburn, although it would really help our class and I'd love to see him in Ellis Johnson's defense. I still think it's between Florida and Ohio State.

Foster?

That would be my guess.

Carl Lawson's teammate and Ole Miss commit Peyton Barber thinks Lawson will stick with Auburn. Just an FYI.

Who fills out the rest of the class? I feel confident in 17 right now but Bryan Matthews says we're getting as close to 25 as we can get. Here are my 17:
1. Jeremy Johnson
2. Cameron Artis-Payne JUCO
3 Devonte Danzey JUCO
4 Jason Smith
5 Earnest Robinson
6 Cameron Toney
7 Kamryn Melton
8 Daniel Carlson
9 Jimmy Hutchinson
10 Carl Lawson
11 Dee Liner
12 Tashawn Bower
13 Reuben Foster
14 Zach Cunningham
15 Ben Bradley JUCO
16 Brandon King JUCO
17 De'Runna Wilson

I think we have a good shot at Peyton Barber too.

I hope we don't just take a bunch of kids to fill the class up...

Next year's class, after recruiting the kids for at least a full year, would be more important. We'd have a better chance at some of the better players. I hate filling the class with guys like Ryan Smith and LaDarius Phillips.

Bower, Lawson, and Liner are still up in the air IMO. Im starting to feel better about Foster. Add Kyrin Prestier to your list.

if we actually have a system in place to develop these guys, they can become solid SEC-calibre players... not everyone has to be a 4/5 star to be a good player.

I'm aware, but they need to at least be SEC/ACC/Big10 caliber players. I know I, and many others, were pretty hyped when LaDarius Phillips signed because of his athleticism and the whole back-flip thing, but he just simply didn't need to be in the SEC. He wasn't good enough and really soft. Those are the type of players I mean when I say I don't want them to just "fill" out the class.

I still can't believe nearly everyone was wrong about Jake Holland.
