Not saying he would've come here over 'Bama, but Malzahn has had a chance to offer Cook since he was hired. He didn't.

We should have offered Cook last spring. He was highly evaluated and I would bet the reason we didn't take him is because he didn't have 4+ stars by his name.

He said in interviews that he was set to commit to Auburn OR Alabama, depending on which offered first. He should've been offered a long time ago.

Sounds like a kid who just wanted one of the in state schools to offer and he jumped on the opportunity. If AU offered and he jumped on the gus bus he would have stayed

Cameron Toney was supposedly a bama fan. There are a lot of guys that are loyal to their first offer in situations like these.
