Fair enough. I just think we should sign him and give him a chance though. Too much talent to give up on.

Nothing that he's done has seemed very serious. He's under alot of pressure right now in Muscle Shoals, and I think he'll be better once he gets on campus

Some young people go to college to mess up... some folks that messed up in high school go to college to get straight... (some mess up in both places). I will reserve judgement until he is safely at Auburn...

If my coach was acting stupid because I was committed to Auburn instead of Bama then I would have left too.

Care to elaborate on that?

It sounds to me like he needs to grow up quick. The pool thing was not a big deal, however yelling and throwing things at a cop and cussing out your football coach are. I don't care what happened, but he needs to learn to use restraint in those situations. He's a young kid, so he's definitely got time to grow and learn, but he needs to start doing that quick before he gets himself in a situation that puts his future in jeopardy.

The coach is supposedly a Bama fan and some other players left with Dee. So it seems like it had to be something to do with the coach or something he was doing.

as with the Zeke Pike situation, you have to wonder whether to take on the risk or not. I am tired of negative publicity so I say we cut bait no matter how good he is.

I know we don't know the story behind it though.

The difference there is one Dline is not the heart of the team like the QB. Dont think it waste talent like Liner because he wanted to go swimming at 1am.

The NCAA needs to allow an early signing period for kids who want to get it over with so they can focus on school and life without the constant headaches of people trying to change their minds.

A couple of years at an academy makes you better than everyone else and gives you the right to do what you want to people.

I want to hear about our guys... surprised this guy qualified.

Welcome news arrived shortly after practice ended Friday for the Ole Miss Rebels.

Highly-touted true freshman defensive end Channing Ward has been cleared by the NCAA to join the football team. Ward was an Under Armour All-American as a senior coming out of Aberdeen, Miss., High School.

Ward will not scrimmage on Saturday, but should don full pads with the Rebels at some point next week. He is expected to immediately challenge for a starting position at defensive end.

Ward owned a 247Composite rating as the No. 34 player in the nation in the Class of 2012. He was also the consensus No. 1 player in the state of Mississippi.

Good for him. Now he can waste away in Oxford just like every other decent player that goes there.

From 24/7:

No movement with Jaquay and Hutcherson getting cleared. If they're not cleared by Wednesday it's unlikely they join the team this fall.

Derrick Green will arrive tomorrow at 5 PM and leave on Sunday. He will make a return visit with his parents.

Also there are conflicting reports with the Dee Liner situation. But it appears it started with a conflict between Dee and one of his trainers.

The NCAA needs to hire more people at this time of year. They are trying to clear every D1 athlete in every sport in every school in America. And they refuse to hire any help to expidite the process. Makes no sense.

NCAA needs to get their shite together. Kids shouldn't have to stay home just because the NCAA doesn't get around to clearing them in time. Like another said, hire more people.
