You should add back the schedule, then just end it with the Bama win. Our season ends there in my mind

At this point, I just hope that next season we aren't still saying 'next season'. We turned some corners this season, but dumb suspensions and injuries have taken their toll. I can wait one more season to see consistent improvement.

I think next year, if the roster isn't decimated again, we will be competitive in almost every game.
It may be "next year" for tournament/big season W total, but we will be excited to watch every game

Agreed but only so much you can control. If we lose our top 4 guards again because of injuries/suspensions there is no coach in america that can deal with that well

It's the uncomfortable truth.

Did anyone expect immediate gratification in basketball.
Pearl looks to be building something.
Given how long we were in the desert, while this season is disappointing, are you really surprised.
And in my mind, the season stopped with Kentucky.

Wasn't expecting to have only 3 SEC wins at this point in the season.

If you'd told me we had 3 sec wins at this point and one was over Kentucky I would have laughed in your face.

But you were expecting 3 of our 4 best players to go a considerable amount of time without playing due to injuries or suspension?

Cim and harris being gone next year will help.

No, but we all expected better than 7-21 in conference play.

Does he? Outside of the outstanding recruiting classes we still appear to be the same shitty rebounding terrible defense and horrible field goal percentage teams of the past.

Yes, I'm surprised that even with our injuries we can't be competitive against mediocre SEC teams.

Same here. Looking through the schedule I see maybe 2 wins max obtainable. That would sit pearl around 9-29 in SEC play. We've been unfortunate with injuries but i'd still like to see the guys we have playing better.
With all that said...Love Pearl don't want him going anywhere.

I think our program was in a much worse place than any of us realized...not just talent, but in the program's culture and mentality as well. What Bruce took over at UT in 2005 wasn't nearly as pathetic as we were in 2014.
I would equate it to what Butch Jones is slowly transforming at UT. After Kiffin left them overnight and Dooley only drug them even farther down, they needed an entire program reset. We are kind of in the same process, but at a football school, it might take a little longer.

Tough to expect a lot when half of our roster is suspended, injured, or not cleared to play.
Not where I expected to be this year but also not entirely the fault of Pearl. This year was a setback

Are you saying it is unreasonable for us to expect a coach to come in and dominate the SEC?
We are a good enough program that Bruce should have us winning. Not like the 7 coaches before Bruce in the past had losing conference records over their career at AU or anything....
