Skyler, I stayed with four other friends, so the price of the cottage was maybe 300 I think. Pretty cheap given the scene and Olympic sized pool. I stayed in Burke hall the first year. Ridgecrest West the second, and the Retreat the last two. You'll enjoy it for sure. Just remember to go to class every now and then. There are other packages available for 2 room cottages, three room cottages, etc, but obviously they will be much more expensive.

I never understood the Bama fans I went to Auburn with. Pull for the school you go to or went to. Thats kinda the point......

A little different in Alabama, IMO.

Anyhow, I went to Bama for graduate school. Someone will tell me that doesn't count but I lived and worked on campus for 2 years and it wasn't a big deal, IMO. Have fun, go to parties, and learn how to find somewhere private to cry when it begins to be painful that you picked Auburn Football to be be a fan of.

If I had to guess, they decided based on their desired career, not based on a football team. Deciding based on fanhood is a little too extreme for me.

My parents went to LSU and even though I lived in Alabama I was a true LSU fan throughout my high school years.

I went to Auburn for undergrad with the idea I would stay an LSU fan with Auburn my number 2 team.

About halfway through the first season I was 100% an Auburn fan and pulled for Auburn to beat LSU.

I think I enjoyed college more being a fan of the school I attended.

My kids are Auburn fans but we live in Georgia. If they go to UGA I expect they will be dog fans.

Nothing I could say to you would be constructive.

I'm more in line with this, although I know people on both sides.

I managed ok going to UGA for grad school (and UGA was my most hated team as a kid), but I wouldn't want to fight that fight in undergrad.

Same here. I was amazed. Why would you subject yourself to four years of not being able to enjoy football Saturdays on the campus you attend? Grad school is something altogether different IMO. I'm currently considering UAB for a graduate degree. If Auburn offered something similar, I'd consider it.

I was a bama fan as a kid. I enrolled at Auburn as a freshman, fell in love with it, and never once looked back. I can't see how anyone could go to AU for 4 years and not fall in love with it.

As an Auburn fan, I bought student section tickets for 40 dollars at Bama and then turned around and resold them for bout 500 bucks.

Oh, the sacrifice.

So, in summation for Skyler97:

Enjoy your future life as a true-blue Bama fan.

What are you planning on majoring in?

You should think long and hard about where you really want to attend college. Student loans suck but you will never get those four or five years back.
